Hope you had a good trip Greg. Looks like you did at least. I used to live on the Gold Coast in the 70's and 80's and had my first family there. The beaches are lovely but in Surfers it is all in the shadows in the afternoon because of the tall buildings. Isn't Tommy Emmanuel great? Been to one or two concerts in the day.

Great trip, lots of fun. Yeah, we didn't spend too much time in Surfer's -- except for eating & sleeping -- so I didn't notice the "shadows" there. Plus, I don't lay in the sun anymore. Sad -- Unless, of course, at home in San Diego!

Tommy Emmanuel is a real guitarist, a great showman, and a fine gentleman, IMHO. We enjoyed his company here in San Diego's Balboa Theater a while back. He played for a live PBS special and my wife got backstage passes
for us to meet him. He is the type of "star" that makes being "a fan" worth it...
Best Regards and Hopes for a Happy New Year.:rockandroll:

Greg: How long is the plane ride? I'd love to go there one day.

Somewhere between about 14.5 and 16 hours depending on a few factors like tail wind vs head wind, etc.
Greg and Julie,

Your trip photos are almost like being there with you! That little girl is a charmer and the little boy will be, too, when he's awake.

Thanks for taking all of us along.
