Before the Pope resigned
From: Brasscheck TV <news@brasschecktv.com>

The Pope's resignation and the
pageantry of the new election
has obscured the big story.

Here's what was going on
earlier this year.

With eyes still on the Vatican, a look a
past scandals.

Things can get pretty heavy in that postage
stamp-sized State.

Like the time they shot John Paul II...

It's an important story Adele.

My instinct upon first hearing it was that it must, for historical reasons dating back to Roberto Calvi, involve Opus Dei. It seems that gut assumption may have grounds (see below).

The Vatican bank, the IOR, has a long, shady history of corruption and crookedness, especially during the reign of the late Bishop Paul Marcincus as President of the bank.

The latest President of the IOR to be ushered out of office, Ettore Gotti Tedeschi (Gotti? Blimey!), a former Banco Santander SA banker, for involvement in money laundering. His Banco Santander past would immediately alert one to the possibility of his membership of Opus Dei, because of that organization's Spanish heritage (See).

There is also the story of the suicide of Monti dei Paschi di Sienna executive, David Rossi, who apparently leapt to his death on 6th March 2013 from the 3rd floor of the MPD HQ building.

While the MSM are not making any connection between Rossi's suicide and the latest Vatican bank scandal, I am. I was told many years ago that MPS was secretly owned by the Vatican. I have no way of knowing how true - if at all - this "telling" was, but it struck a chord at the time. And speaking of time, the timing of Rossi's leap conveniently feeds right into the Vatican scandal.
There's also a dedicated Pope Francis thread here.
