And the BRICS countries are dominant gold producing nations - i.e., Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Of the top 10 gold producing nations, China is number, 1, Russia No.4 and Sth. Africa No. 5. A new gold backed, or partly gold backed currency issued by them, might well send the dollar to the ocean's bottom - in the long run.
