This past week I have discovered facebook is a real powerhouse for deep politics. So today I have plugged us. Will continue to do so. So if Myra or Magda get any new registrants saying someone from FB sent them it's moi.

I saw how fast Alex Jones' video-The Obama Deception- went out over FB yesterday all over the world.

I watched it as soon as someone uploaded it. I have no idea what to make of Alex Jones. He has a habit of twisting facts, and applying "spin" for dramatic effect. The facts are astounding alone, there is no need to lie to make the point that some very naughty men control everything.

I like Alex Jones a lot. I know people look askance at him but I think he connects a lot of dots.

The first part, about Obama's lies was clearly factual so that was easier to judge.

The second part about Obama's, actually the ruling elite's, agenda was hard for me to judge. I have no idea if it makes sense and, frankly, didn't understand the logic of much of the supposed agenda. Cow tax--huh?

I was also surprised by the claim that global warming is a hoax (perhaps I owe ol' Michael Crichton an apology). And I've never been convinced that President Kennedy was fixin' to dump the Federal Reserve. Bill Still, Producer/Narrator of the video "The Money Master," sure doesn't seem to think so. I just don't have the expertise to evaluate that claim.

But there was much of interest there. And the repeated statements that JFK was the last real president was correct. I'd like to watch it again.

Obama is, without a doubt, the puppet they claim. He's been rammed down our throats for years, and the media is way too positive about him, and the old regime clearly approved of him. I thought the description of him as a "Trojan Horse" was spot on.

Dawn; good work. If we all did something positive then something positive might get done.

History shows that when the people act then things change for the better, although its sometimes very tough on the people.

So Damien, Do you think that the president is actually in charge? That "naughty men" don't pull the strings? If so then why do you think JFK was murdered and by whom? Not trying to be argumentative here, just curious. Also I agree with Myra about JFk and the Fed. She's done the research. I see a lot of people on FB repeating each other that this is THE reason JFK was assassinated. I have responded to several of them and because it was getting too time consuming to do then I began urging people to check us out. Thus far a few have said they will. So I will continue to do this. I need to listen to the vid again too. It's two hours and a lot to digest.

I'd be very interested in other people's take here, especially CD, David, Jan, Magda,Peter...Tosh...
I have also been listening to Alex for a very long time. Years ago when he was talking about the camps, national ids and the like he seemed a bit hysterical, but I knew then he was also right. In this vid he is CALM, you almost don't know it's even him. (I did not watch it but listened on headphones as I was cleaning the house on Sat.) As for him twisting the facts the only instance where I KNEW he has done that is about child protective services. I represent children and parents in these cases and kids do NOT get removed over a dirty house. Just does not happen. Ever. Parents lie. Kids are removed only in serious abuse/neglect cases. I have been doing this work 20+ years.

I liked the film, and agreed with what I saw. What I meant was I don't know how to take Alex Jones in general. I was first exposed to his work when a friend lent me his 911 film "Terrorstorm" following a conversation in which I expressed my doubts about 911. The film was good, and does it's job but many times I've heard him say things which over simplify the issues, and at times are just plain wrong. For instance many times he's said that Marvin Bush was head of security at the WTO and that his contract ended on sept 10th 2001. Why lie like that? EVERYBODY knows John O'Neill was head of security, not Marvin Bush. From what I've been able to find Marvin Bush worked for a security company that worked WITH the WTO until the buildings were destroyed (not because the contract expired the previous day) but thats quite a difference from "Marvin Bush, the Presidents brother was head of security, and his contract ran out the day before 911"

Thats one example, you've probably ignored others that you've heard, and there's the problem. Why ignore an obvious lie, or a slight exageration? These things will be grabbed, embraced and used to discredit all of the facts by people desperate to keep their heads buried in the sand or by others who have an interest in keeping people ignorant.

When talking about the truth of what happened on 911, the JFK assassination or any of the other issues we talk about here. It is imperative that those passing the information on to others are 100% accurate and factual. If you get caught in a lie your credibilty is 100% GONE. No matter how much truth preceeds the lie, or follows the lie, that person is a liar and nothing they say can be trusted.

I am still however a bit of an Alex Jones fan, his work has bought many things to my attention. I loved the Martial law series. He's obviously passionate, and maybe thats the problem. His passion (I believe you likened it to hysteria) may lead him to say things which are a little less than completely honest, and are sometimes plain wrong in order to convince others and force them to do their own digging. But these things are crimes, and when investigating crimes or delivering the results of those investigations one should always stick to the facts, and only the facts. Nothing else is necessary and is usually harmful.
I agree with you Damien. For some time now I have been meaning to get in touch with Jones on two issues: The one I mentioned in my post re.CPS cases, invite him to come to court a few days with me if he needs proof, and on the assassination of JFK and the Executive order re the Fed. I am not sure if he has a link to email him at inforwars.com as I have not been at his site in some time. But I iwll check into it becaue I agree once someone lies about something you have to begin to question all else. In the case of CPS I believe Jones does not know that he is lying. That some parents contacted him and lied about their children's removal. On the Fed issue and JFK I was educated here at this site over the weekend by Myra Bronstein who has done her own research on this. But I will try to track him down and set him straight on these two issues. I did not see th other vid you mention. I mainly see him on access tv here or at his site.

I take slight issue with you on this Damien. Not because I disagree about Alex Jones beuase he has the backing and support to be accurate all the time. But when working alone without the support and, more importantly, without the financial means to be pristine in everything one says, errors and factual mis-statements can and do creep in. It has happened to me more than once. While I, and doubtless many others, have the best intentions in mind, human nature will trick us at times.

An example might suffice. I once wrote a piece about drugs and made reference to Colombia, but because I was under time constraints and, more likely because I'm mildly dyslexic, I spelled Colombia as Columbia. I know the difference between the two but it was just one of those Jack-in-the-Box moments and it wasn't picked up in the revision or the subbing. Later I got an email from someone pointing out the error and making the statement that it had detracted from my credibility because of it. I found this to be an a rather aloof statement to make in view of the general tenor of piece itself.

Working alone in difficult situations with no financial or technical support is far from easy and is something that is often overlooked. If you're a writer or journalist writing in these areas it is imperative to have the honesty to admit and correct errors. Significant uncorrected errors do however cause distrust and quite right so in my opinion.

Just my two cents worth though.
