5 decades later, some JFK assassination files still sealed; researchers demand 'transparency'
This AP article takes a few swipes at "conspiracy buffs" and so on, but it is well worth reading, at least to understand the current status of sealed documents at the National Archives. It is, of course, copyrighted, so I'm just posting the link below:

Personally, I stop reading when I encounter a phrase like:

Guy Banister had ties to organized crime?
Oswald picked up his disassembled rifle from the Paine garage and carried it to work?
Oswald was trying to get to Cuba through Mexico to kill Castro?
And here is the capper: Assuming that Oswald fired the fatal shot he said "These top CIA officers are guilty of negligence."
Hmmm. Angleton was guilty of negligence?
Speaking of conspiracies, there are all sorts of mysterious reports coming out of London about the cops looking into a new witness who claims he has information that Princess Diana's death was intentional.
Call me a conspiracy-monger, but I always thought that was a hit.
Can you imagine a half-Arab heir to the British Crown??? I doubt the House of Windsor could either. Hell, they were afraid to admit their German heritage, AND NOW THIS ARAB BUSINESS? Not that any of this nastiness will ever get close to them.
A messy assassination scandal in England would sure set the stage here for the 50th anniversary of JFK's murder, but it will probably all blow over.

Or it could be a convenient distraction. The timing of the revelation is interesting.

"The Warren Commission, which concluded in 1964 that Oswald acted alone and was not part of a conspiracy, was never told about the CIA's possibly relevant anti-Castro activities,
despite the fact that former CIA director Allen Dulles was a Warren Commission member."
Wow, those legitimate operations they were hiding were really important if they couldn't tell their own ex boss about them.

This is precisely the sort of analysis that is lacking in so much of published deep political research.
As I've stated for the past -- God help me -- 20-plus years: If a mantra of Watergate investigations is "follow the money," then a mantra of deep political investigations in general must be "question the timing."
Diana, Dodi, and Henri Paul were murdered.
Watch these so-called "developments" carefully.
