Historically the owners/admins have been the problem. They are apparently so terrified of being ridiculed that they promptly locked all threads with hint of independent thought, any insights into the plots that have destroyed our best leaders and institutions and way of life. It seems like the more persistent and bold members there are making inroads however. More and more I see threads, like the ones above, where people are openly discussing the types of patterns we discuss here and the thread is not locked or moved. I would like to think that this is a trend because the forum has such potential.

And the admins at DU are still a problem.

I posted my first essay at DU--this one (http://www.deeppoliticsforum.com/forums/....php?t=468).

After getting initial good response from other members, I received the following PM from a DU admin:

"We are removing your thread "Did Business Find President Kennedy Guilty of Treason in the Industrial War on Labor Unions?" because of the link to sign-of-the-times.org. There are certain websites that contain unreliable and/or conspiracy based articles that we do not permit linking to, and this is one of them.

I replied:

"Could I please get a list of websites that you do not permit links to so I can avoid them?"

And got the following response:

">We can't supply you with a list, as it changes all the time.

Most interesting. What do y'all think?

Myra, you certainly have an uphill [or vertical] fight ahead of you. :banghead: I suggest you explain to them that the 'official' version of 911 is conspiracy based and thus no US govt. sanctioned stories be allowed.
Sounds like they make it up as they go along. Seems quite reasonable to have a list of 'banned sites' if they want to ban them from their forum but there seems no definite policy, just moderators whims involved. And if they had list it should be there for all to see. Also seems like a lot of work for the admins to check and know about every link. And do they ever really know? Are they paid full time or something? And what's is it with this blanket anti conspiracy nonsense? Conspiracy does not equate to unreliable any more than the 'official' version of any story renders it reliable. A skeptical eye for all things. As Peter says the 'official' 911 theory is a conspiracy theory. And in Kennedy's case the government officially admits there was a conspiracy. Not that they ever DO anything about it though. But it is on the record.

Thanks for the input Maggie and Peter. As I mentioned before the admins and forum owners are the problem there. They strictly enforce undefined rules, and are phobic about "conspiracy theories" to the point where I have to wonder about their agenda. Merely mentioning "JFK" will get a post moved to the "911" dungeon where all "conspiracy" posts are tossed. They won't even create a more general "conspiracy" folder.

To make it even more interesting they're member funded. So apparently they have enough members who are willing to fund heavy censorship to keep going.

I seriously wonder about their agenda.

Minus the offending links:

And updated a bit for relevance.
Should be interesting...

The administration of the site likely has an agenda well defined [keep it in the Democratic party boundarylines], but for many of the supporters it is likely see no evil; hear no evil; speak no evil - as in the three monkeys. Plus, the Emperor's New Clothes syndrome. See if telling about the Emperor's Clothes goes to the 911 dungeon. This is the main problem in American and to a lesser extent other 'de-veloped' countries.......among the yuppie class especially - Myra don'tyaknow ya can't talk about Oswald not being the assassin or the WTC being brought down on purpose by other than 19 meccamaniacs with botox in your face, a Starbucks by your laptop, and all the latest clothes on - not to mention the fab new car sitting outside. Anyway, all 'those' 'conspiracies' are such a 'downer' and don't match the smileyface buttons, sweatshirts and groupthink self-hypnosis. :proud: :aetsch:

Great answer Peter.
Having glanced at the last few notes on this thread,I would just like to add that in spite of the mentioned censorship, I think this is still a very very very valuable site to post on The reasons are two

a) its high traffic
b) its between like status ie between democrats and those who are more open minded and who post a lot about the assassination, real power structures et al

This betweeness is a very important baby to consider before throwing out bathwater. True I have never been censored there. I have mostly used sources from books.

Reguardless of how offended we may be it as AN INCREDIBLE WAY OF MOVING BOOKS. BOOKS WILL CONVINCE. ALL ELSE IS JUST A MEANS TO THAT END. ALSO THIS SITE AND EDUCATION FORUM WILL CONVINCE (SORRY DID I COMMIT HERESY? SITES LIKE DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND ARE ONE SIDE OF THE BRIDGE. THERE MIGHT BE SOME DOG POOP HITHERING ON THE YON. If that turns us away from the fight we are in deeper phenomonology than I thought.

Purities result in very low book sales.

Thanks Nathaniel. I really needed the pep talk 'cause I'm so beyond frustrated with the owners and admins there. And I am seriously wondering about their agenda...

But I should probably just chill out/wise up and take advantage of what's good about the place.
