Maybe 80% of Americans couldn't afford a book in the last year.
Regardless, lots of people use libraries.

Well, here's one American who buys books, reads, understands, processes, thinks, and posts. And in my regular "day" job, I work trying to help those other 80% find a job, get training, or get an education that will help them keep a roof over their heads and food on their table. It is not always hopeful...
