Well, that's great. Apparently they've now disappeared from the Internet Archive also. Bastards. Good thing I downloaded everything as individual HTML pages.
I don't know who is behind "Futile work", but that person made a copy of all of Dave's articles. Looks better than the original!

The family will probably force him to take it down. Better archive it while you can.
Maybe this is old news to some of you, but Dave McGowan's daughter Alissa has brought her father's website back online, with a new URL:

http://centerforaninformedamerica.com

The Futile Work archive has been taken down in Octobre last year (copyright infringement).

Alissa is also looking for an illustrator to help with a graphic novel based on Dave's work.

Thanks for that. A lot of good work there! Not all perfect, but no one researchers work it...but generally VERY good and logical!....way better than the 'official conspiracy theories'.

McGowan's argument that the 60's counter-culture started in Laurel Canyon is pure bullshit.

The psychedelic counter-culture was thriving in San Francisco and Austin a full year before psyche bands started to emerge from LA.

Ken Kesey, Bill Graham, the Jefferson Airplane, the Grateful Dead and the 13th Floor Elevators gave birth to the counter-culture.

"Middle of the road" soft rock was born in Laurel Canyon.
