Just watched the Grey Wolf documentary and read the above.
What you can look forward to in the near future is much more accurate information coming out about the truth regarding Hitler and World War II. The following are the main points of the revisionist info (which includes The Skorzeny Papers):
1. World War II, like the Thirty Year's War of the 1600's was a religious war.
2. The Germans had a dysfunctional government (and thus a dysfunctional society to some degree). And the dysfunction started at least under Bismarck in 1864 and was followed by the dysfunctional Weimar Republic (1919-1933) and the worst of all, the Third Reich (1933-1945).
3. The Papacy has apparently always been a creation of Germany and all the Holy Roman Emperors (all Germans) were each and every one crowned as "Emperor of the Romans". And this Holy Roman Empire continued for roughly 1300 years, from 500 AD to the 1800's.
4. Before World War II, more than half of the money received by the Vatican every year came from Germany due to the 1% to 2% "church tax" which was levied on 95% of Germans, even up to 1945 and continued by the American occupation, probably still up until today.
5. Hitler's actions from 1923 to 1945 were dictated by his personal loyalties. Ironically, it was Hitler's view of religion which dictated all the events from 1933 to 1945, EVEN THOUGH HITLER DIDN'T BELIEVE IN GOD FOR HIMSELF.
6. Hitler was entirely all about religion because he came from Austria where the culture was totally a mixture of political reaction, Catholic policy and Jesuits, etc. We in America are heavily influenced by main-line Protestantism (even though we might not be one). That's because religion impacts culture in a major way (like it does in the Middle East and like it has always done in Germany). Of course Protestantism was basically invented by a German, Martin Luther, too. Hitler was an AUTHORITARIAN because all of Catholic Austria was all about AUTHORITARIANISM.
7. HITLER WAS AUTHORITARIAN DUE TO HIS CATHOLIC, AUSTRIAN ROOTS, NOT BECAUSE OF THE PRUSSIAN MILITARY TRADITION. HE WAS THE ENEMY OF PRUSSIAN MILITARISM AND THE GERMAN GENERAL STAFF.
8. Because Hitler was loyal to Austrian principles, not German militaristic principles, he was totally unconcered about a military defeat in World War II. To him, defeat produced a better outcome for the Catholic interests in Germany THAN WOULD A VICTORY WOULD HAVE.
9. While France, the USA and the USSR were the centers of the major revolutions, Austria and the Hapsburgs were THE CENTER OF COUNTER-REVOLUTION. As an Austrian, Hitler was just continuing the efforts of Prince Metternich who worked from 1815 to 1848 to reverse or counter-act the results of the French Revolution. Hitler was just another Austrian Metternich whose main backup was the Catholic political activists who hated the French Revolution. Hitler despised the fact that "the churches couldn't prevent the French or the Russian Revolution." That's all you need to know about Hitler's religious attitude and it's a direct quote from Hitler.
10. Although the Nazis were viewed to some extent as "neo-pagans" or "occult", the occult facade was just a fig-leaf to try and paper over the debilitating divide between the Catholic Church and the Evangelical Church (Lutheran-Calvinist). Hitler could always hint that he favored "pagan" religion as a convenient way of not taking sides between the Protestants and the Catholics.
11. Hitler's success was due (in a major part) to his personal intimate knowledge of Catholicism, how the priests were financially situated and how the clergy would favor money from Hitler over their principles (which also applied in a major way to the Protestant Church in Germany, too). To put it succinctly, the Catholic Party and the Vatican were the most powerful force in Germany from 1919 to 1933 (or 1945?) and Hitler simply bought them off with money, pure and simple. They were, after all, only human and Hitler understood this. That was his secret strength (which unfortunately he used for only evil stuff).
9. World War II was basically a confrontation between the Austrian/Bavarian power center in Germany against the Prussian/Militarist/Protestant sections that rule from 1879 to 1918. (The deposed Kaiser was the official head of the Protestant (Evangelical) German Church).
10. Even though the next Chancellor, Konrad Adenauer had been treated horribly by the Nazis and he disliked the Nazis, for better or worse, Adenauer was just another Hitler. BUT ADENAUER WAS FORMALLY ETHICAL WHERE HITLER WAS FORMALLY UNETHICAL. They were two sides of the same coin. Both Hitler and Adenauer were twins in their total commitment in push their Catholic authoritarian and counter-revolutionary crusades. And both were indifferent to the division and dismemberment of Germany, because to them it wasn't their country that took priority. It was their religious culture and its influence.
11. The American fingers in this pie were Allen Dulles, German High Commissioner John J. McCloy, Ambassador Robert Murphy, General Edwin Walker, the associates of (Austrian) Otto Skorzeny and many, many more.
12. The best perspective on the JFK assassination is that it was a Catholic-on-Catholic internecine and international vendetta. That's an over-simplification, but none-the-less basically true.

For me, parts of the Mercury story ring true. Parts do not. I can well understand that a peace negotiation was taking place and Hess had brought the terms to be hammered out. But the view propagated about Hess and Hitler is, for me, far too simple - and gloss over a number of more complex matters.
As Guido Preparata has shown in his excellent book Conjuring Hitler (and both of Tony Sutton's books; Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler and also Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution), Britain and America designedly set out to start WWI and WWII. The reason was the old British policy of divide and conquer - both Germany and Russia had to be kept apart at all costs as together they would become the new world power instead of the Anglo-Americans. How best to cause division than creating war between them?
Also, we should not forget that, according to Hugh Thomas in his book The Murder of Rudolf Hess, the man he examined and attended to as his physician in Spandau Prison, and who was purported to be Rudolf Hess, actually was not Hess. The medical history Thomas had available of the real Hess, especially the wounds he had received during WWI, revealed this to be the case.
So what happened to the real Hess? This was outed in the book by Lynn Picknet and Clive Prince, Double Standards: The Rudolf Hess Cover-Up. In this book the authors reveal that Hess was a passenger on the Sunderland Flying Boat piloted by Prince George, Duke of Kent, as it took off in Caithness Scotland in August 1942. The story is that Prince George, on behalf of the royal family and Hess were flying to a destination in Western Europe to sign a peace treaty with Hitler and that Churchill ordered the aircraft to be sabotaged rather than allow that to take place.
Picknett and Prince interviewed the man, Churchill's Commando, who was responsible for sabotaging the aircraft, but correctly didn't name him. Some years later, quite by chance, I was contacted by the son of this man on another subject and later learned more about his father and his role in this assassination, and believe it to be true. Like father, his son was also a British spook until his retirement.
Why else would British intelligence have murdered the substitute Rudolf Hess just prior to him being released from Spandau prison, following the Soviet Union agreeing to his release? The story about his murder by two British agents is now established fact confirmed by Scotland Yard (see Daily Mail link below).
The fact of the matter was that a very high number of the British aristocracy and the elite of those days were very pro Hitler. They flocked to become members of the Right Club formed by Captain Ramsay. After decades of secrecy the alleged membership list of about (from memory) 300 names of the membership roll of the so called Red Book was published in 2010. I remain highly sceptical of the veracity of this publication because my contact with the son of Churchill's Commando, was amongst other matters, trying to convince him to provide me with a copy of the real membership list which he had and which totalled approx. 6,000 names. He eventually declined to provide me with a copy, which was great pity to me, and as far as I know that copy went to his grave with him.
I appreciate that this is quite a lengthy post for FB, but the subject is complex and I don't think the whole truth is yet in the public domain. The latest Zerohedge / American Mercury resurrection is a step in the right direction, but as I said, it glosses over just how cunning the British are and how dark their arts really are. At that's an Englishman speaking!
Notes from the son of Churhcill's Commando who assassinated Hess and Prince Goerge, Duke of Kent:
"I was fortunate in the early eighties to become associated with Michael Romaine Michael, a Russian émigré, was a regular visitor in the late thirties to the Russian Tea Room in South Kensington, a meeting house for Ramsay's Right Club'. Michael had maintained not only his right wing views but his contacts many of whom I had the pleasure of being introduced. I was surprised to meet not only prominent Scots but US citizens working in the UK, some as serving officers.
It was Michael Romaine who first showed me a copy of Ramsay's Red Book [v], his copy along with some forty years of additional notes contained some six thousand names of which nearly a thousand hailed from Scotland. Michael's copy contrasted with Herbert Morrison [vi], the Home Secretary's copy who refused to reveal the contents of Ramsay's Red Book.
Morrison claimed that it was impossible to know if the names in the book were really members of the Right Club. If this was the case, the publication of the book would unfairly smear innocent people. Ramsay died in 1955 and it was not until 1989 that a copy of the Red Book was found in the safe of Ramsay's former solicitors this copy book included the names of 235 people.
Unfortunately a lot of the names were in code. However, it did contain the names of several senior Tories including a large number of MPs and peers of the realm.
Now I wish I could say that the Right Club' and its derivatives were all ancient and irrelevant history this is not the case. Admittedly the Hamiltons' (Duke of Hamilton and Lady Douglas-Hamilton); Dobie (Sheriff Dobie) and Pentland (father of Joan Pentland-Clark and a prominent member of both the New Club and Edinburgh's Merchant Company) are long since dead but their ultimate offspring still retain much of their ancestor's hubris see Lord Douglas-Hamilton MSP, Mr Dobie (Partner in Tods Murray and the main progenitor of the Tods Murray v Frost & McNamara dispute), Joan Pentland-Clark in their association with David McLetchie MSP (whose father was not linked with the Right Club).
Others, like Stuart Usher, whose family was intimate with both Ramsay and Rudolph Hess (deputy leader of the Nazi party, who was born in Egypt reputedly in the company of the Usher family) have suffered from their Right Club' connections. Undeniably Stuart (whose mother boasted a Prussian and Nazi pedigree) has lost out to other members of his family who appear to have robbed his branch of the family because Stuart's family fascist tendencies had become too apparent.
Upsetting as these hand me downs' may be does past or present connections with secret right wing organisations pose a threat to Scottish society today? My answer is YES because:
1. In the 1940s, Herbert Morrison chose not to publish the Red Book' contents because there were too many lawyers and senior Court of Session judges listed on it. If today, a current list was published some two judges are known to have and four more suspected as having clandestine right wing involvements some 36 members of the Faculty of Advocates some 40 odd solicitors and two MSP s are believed to be involved.
2. Much of our security services still remain as the priests at prayer' for our non elected right wing establishment.
3. Increasing influence of our security services particularly via the use of spin doctor intelligence as with the Zinoviev letter [vii] , and Blair's weapons of mass destruction.
4. Direct security service manipulation of the populace, as has occurred for the last fifty years [viii] with infiltration of student, trade union, and labour sanctums.
5. Murder right wing security services have always engaged in elimination but recently there has been a downgrading of the wet job' business as with Bush's approved Matrix' document to the CIA; and the Home Secretary's October 2001 memo which appears to inadvertently lead to the parking of Dr Kelly.
In conclusion then I emphasise two matters:
A .I would rather have a visible if corrupt politician in charge, a politician who is subject to the ballot box, than a judge whose allegiance is to his Right Club' peer group."

To get beyond the soap opera stuff and truly understand the Windsors today, it is useful to start with Prince Philip. Not only was he trained in the Hitler Youth curriculum, but his German brothers-in-law, with whom he lived, all became high- ranking figures in the Nazi Party.
Before his family was forced into exile, Prince Philip had been in line of succession to the Greek throne, established after a British-run coup against the son of King Ludwig of Bavaria, who became King Otto I of the Hellenes. Having dispatched King Otto in 1862, London ran a talent search for a successor, which resulted in the selection of Prince William, the son of the designated heir and nephew to the Danish king, Crown Prince Christian.
In 1862, Prince William of the Danes was installed as King George I of Greece, and married a granddaughter of Czar Nicholas I in 1866. Prince Philip is a grandson of Queen Victoria, and he is related to most of the current and former crowned heads of Europe, including seven czars.
The marriages of Prince Philip's sisters definitely strengthened the German aristocratic ties. During 1931-1932, Philip's four older sisters married as follows: Margarita to a Czech-Austrian prince named Gottfried von Hohenlohe-Langenburg, a great-grandson of England's Queen Victoria; Theodora to Berthold, the margrave of Baden; Cecilia to Georg Donatus, grand duke of Hesse-by-Rhine, also a great-grandson of Queen Victoria; and, Sophie to Prince Christoph of Hesse.
Three of Philip's brothers-in-law were part of a group of German aristocrats who were Anglophile and pro-Nazi at the same time, and who remain a subversive force in Germany to this day.
Enter Prince Bernhard
His Royal Highness Prince Bernhard, royal consort to Queen Juliana of the Netherlands and father of Queen Beatrix, co-founded and became the first head of the World Wildlife Fund (now the World Wide Fund for Nature) in October 1961. When the Lockheed scandal forced Prince Bernhard to resign from his most important public functions in 1971, he was replaced by Prince Philip. Prince Bernhard, like Prince Philip, whom he recruited to the eco-fascist cause, had strong roots in the Nazi movement.
In fact, the whole House of Orange did: Queen Wilhelmina, mother of the future Queen Juliana, married a right-wing playboy who begged for money for Hitler; Juliana married an SS man (Prince Bernhard); and, Queen Juliana's daughter Beatrix married a former member of Hitler Youth.
Prince Bernhard first became interested in the Nazis in 1934, during his last year of study at the University of Berlin. He was recruited by a member of the Nazi intelligence services, but first worked openly in the motorized SS. Bernhard went to Paris to work for the firm IG Farben, which pioneered Nazi Economics Minister Hjalmar Schacht's slave labour camp system by building concentration camps to convert coal into synthetic gasoline and rubber. Bernhard's role was to conduct espionage on behalf of the SS. According to the April 5, 1976 issue of Newsweek, this role, as part of a special SS intelligence unit in IG Farbenindustrie, had been revealed in testimony at the Nuremberg trials.
When Bernhard left the SS to marry the future Queen Juliana, he signed his letter of resignation to Adolf Hitler, ``Heil Hitler!'' William Hoffman writes in his book Queen Juliana:
``Tensions [over the marriage] were not cooled when ... Adolf Hitler forwarded his own congratulatory message. The newspaper Het Volk editorialized that `it would be better if the future Queen had found a consort in some democratic country rather than in the Third Reich.'''
This is the man who recruited Prince Philip to eco-facism, but Prince Philip's Nazi roots had been laid much earlier."
Hitler Youth and Universal Fascism
Through the influence of his sister Theodora, young Philip was sent to the German school near Lake Constantine that had been founded by Berthold's father, Max von Baden, working through his long-time personal secretary, Kurt Hahn. During World War I, Prince Max von Baden had been chancellor, while the Oxford-trained Hahn first served as head of the Berlin Foreign Ministry's intelligence desk, then as special adviser to Prince Max in the Versailles Treaty negotiations. Von Baden and Hahn set up a school in a wing of Schloss Salem, employing a combination of monasticism and the Nazis' ``strength-through-joy'' system. At first a supporter of the Nazis, Hahn, who was part Jewish, soon got into trouble with the SS, and came to support the more centrist elements of the Nazi Party. What Hahn really had become is what Henry Kissinger's friend, Michael Ledeen has termed a ``universal fascist,'' in the sense of Vladimir Jabotinsky, Count Coudenhove-Kalergi, the Strasser brothers, and other fascists whom the hard-core Nazis would have no dealings with.
Gordonstoun School
Although Hahn's powerful connections permitted him to escape the concentration camps, he was forced to leave the school he founded in Germany before Philip's arrival there, and established a new school in Scotland, called Gordonstoun. It would play a major role in rearing all the male children of Queen Elizabeth II and Philip. When Philip arrived at Hahn's school in Schloss Salem, it was in control of the Hitler Youth and the Nazi Party, and the curriculum had become Nazi ``race science.'' Hahn became an adviser to the Foreign Office in London, urging policies of appeasement based upon appeals to the ``centrist'' Nazis.
Philip's Relatives Work for the SS
The husband of Philip's sister Sophie, Prince Christoph, was embraced by the Nazis, who saw him as a channel to the appeasement faction in Britain epitomized by King Edward VIII. Joining the Nazi Party in 1933, by 1935 Prince Christoph was chief of the Forschungsamt (directorate of scientific research), a special intelligence operation run by Hermann Göring, and he was also Standartenführer (colonel) of the SS on Heinrich Himmler's personal staff. The Forschungsamt used electronic intelligence-gathering methods to police the Nazi Party, while working with the Gestapo against the Catholic Church, the Jews, and labour organizations. When rumours of homosexuality spread against Capt. Ernst Roehm of the Stormtroopers, Himmler turned to the Forschungsamt's eavesdroppers, and ordered the ``Night of the Long Knives'' as a result. The eldest of Prince Christoph and Sophie's children was named Karl Adolf, after Hitler. Later, Prince Philip would promote his education.
Prince Christoph's brother, Philip of Hesse, married a daughter of the King of Italy, and became the official liaison between the Nazi and Fascist regimes.
Four years after Prince Philip left Schloss Salem to attend Gordonstoun Academy in Scotland, on Nov. 16, 1937, Philip learned that his sister Cecilia and her husband Georg Donatus, hereditary grand duke of Hesse-by-Rhine, had crashed in one of Göring's Junker aircraft on a trip to London for George's brother's wedding. According to the magazine Private Eye, the funeral became a gathering point for leading Nazis and their appeasers. Prince Philip himself developed secretive ties with King Edward VIII, continuing after Edward was deposed in 1938.
In fact, one of the central figures in the 1930s Nazi-British back-channel was Philip's uncle and sponsor, Lord Louis Mountbatten (originally, Battenberg, a branch of the House of Hesse). Until he was forced to abdicate, King Edward VIII enjoyed the full backing of ``Dickie'' Mountbatten. Through much of World War II, secret channels of communication were maintained between the British royal family and their pro-Hitler cousins in Germany, by Lord Mountbatten, through his sister Louise, who was crown princess of pro-Nazi Sweden. Louise was Prince Philip's aunt.
Although Buckingham Palace's rumour mill has tried to depict this wartime collaboration with the enemy as mere family correspondence, the channel apparently included messages from Prince Philip's secret ally, the Duke of Windsor (the former Edward VIII). On Nov. 20, 1995, the Washington Times reported, based on recently discovered Portuguese Secret Service files first published in the London Observer, that the Duke of Windsor had been in close collaboration with the Nazis in Spain and Portugal to foment a revolution in wartime Britain, that would topple the Churchill government, depose his brother King George VI, and allow him to regain the throne, with Queen Wallis [Simpson, the American divorcée, for whom he abdicated the throne] at his side. Portuguese surveillance revealed that Walter Schellenberg, head of Gestapo counterintelligence, was one point of contact in this plot. After Schellenberg met with the Spanish ambassador to Portugal, Nicolás Franco, brother of fascist Gen. Francisco Franco, Ambassador Franco told a Portuguese diplomat: ``The Duke of Windsor, free from the responsibilities of the war, in disagreement with English politicians, could be the man to put at the head of the Empire.''
Whatever correspondence was hidden in Sophie and Prince Christoph's Kronberg Castle, King George VI, in June 1945, felt compelled to dispatch the former MI-5 officer turned ``Surveyor of the King's Pictures,'' Anthony Blunt, to gather up the correspondence. Queen Elizabeth II reportedly insisted that there be no interrogation of Blunt about his secret trip to the castle. Otherwise, it is notable that starting with an exchange between King George VI and President Eisenhower, the House of Windsor has been desperate to keep classified those documents from Kronberg Castle that fell into American Army hands, long beyond the normal length of time. Clearly, Prince Philip's patron Lord Dickie Mountbatten, Mountbatten's sister Crown Princess Louise, and Philip's brother-in-law Prince Christoph of Hesse were not just exchanging Christmas greetings."

His Royal Highness The Prince George, Duke of Kent (George Edward Alexander Edmund von Wettin, later Windsor) (20 December 1902 - 25 August 1942) was the fourth son of King George V of the United Kingdom and Queen Mary. He was the father of the current Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra, the Honourable Lady Ogilvy, and Prince Michael of Kent.
Prince George was born at York Cottage, Sandringham House, near King's Lynn, Norfolk, England, to the then Prince and Princess of Wales. At the time of his birth, he was styled "HRH Prince George of Wales". From his father's ascension to the throne on 6 May 1910 until his creation as Duke of Kent on 12 October 1934, he was styled "HRH The Prince George". He became a Knight of the Order of the Garter (KG) at age 21. He received the Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO) in 1924 and the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (GCMG) in 1934. In 1935, he became a Knight of the Thistle (KT) and two years later he became a member of the Privy Council.
Prince George received his early education from a tutor and then followed his elder brother Prince Henry (later the Duke of Gloucester) to St. Peter's Court Preparatory School at Broadstairs in Kent. At age thirteen, like his brothers Prince Edward (later Edward VIII) and Prince Albert (later George VI) before him, he went to naval college, first at Osborne and later at Dartmouth. He remained in the Royal Navy until 1929, serving on the HMS Iron Duke and later the HMS Nelson. After leaving the navy, he briefly held posts at the Foreign Office and later the Home Office, becoming the first member of the British Royal Family to work as a civil servant. At the start of World War II, he returned to active military service at the rank of Rear Admiral, briefly serving on the Intelligence Division of the Admiralty. In April, 1940, he transferred to the Royal Air Force. He temporarily relinquished his rank as Air Vice-Marshal (the equivalent of Rear Admiral) to assume the post of Staff Officer in the RAF Training Command at the rank of Air Commodore. The Duke also was a designer of some note, trying his hand at furniture, jewelry, and the like.
On 29 November 1934, the Duke of Kent married Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark, the daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece and Denmark and a great niece of Queen Alexandra, at Westminster Abbey. It was the last marriage between a son of a British Sovereign and a member of a foreign royal house to date.
Dismissed by one observer as cultivated, effeminate, and smelling too strongly of perfume, the Duke of Kent had a long string of affairs with men and women before and during his marriage. The better known of his partners were black cabaret singer Florence Mills, banking heiress Poppy Baring, Ethel Margaret Whigham (later Duchess of Argyll), musical star Jessie Matthews and actor Noel Coward, with whom he carried on a 19-year affair. (Love letters from the Duke to Coward were stolen from Coward's house in 1942). There is some suggestion that the duke had an affair with Indira Raje, the Maharani of Cooch Behar (1892-1968), in the late 1920s, according to British historian Lucy Moore. He also is said to have been addicted to drugs (notably morphine and cocaine) and reportedly was blackmailed by a male prostitute to whom he wrote intimate letters. Another of his reported homosexual affairs was with his distant cousin Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia; spy and art historian Anthony Blunt was another lover. Much of this history was outlined in "The Queen's Lost Uncle", a documentary film that aired on Britain's Channel 4 in 2003. The Duke's bisexuality and drug addictions were explored in "African Nights", a 2004 play written by American playwright Jeffrey Corrick.
In addition to his legitimate children, the Duke is said to have had a son by Kiki Preston (née Alice Gwynne) (1898-1946), an American socialite whom he reportedly shared in a ménage à trois with Jorge Ferrara, the bisexual son of the Argentine ambassador to the Court of St. James's. Known as "the girl with the silver syringe", drug addict Preston, a cousin of railroad heiress Gloria Vanderbilt, was married first to Horace R.B. Allen and then, in 1925, to banker Jerome Preston. She died after jumping out of a window of the Stanhope Hotel in New York City. According to the memoirs of a friend, Loelia Westminster, Prince George's brother the Duke of Windsor believed that the son was Michael Canfield (1926-1969), the adopted son of American publisher Cass Canfield and the first husband of Lee Radziwill (sister of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis).
The Duke of Kent was killed in a plane crash on active service in World War II at Eagles Rock near Dunbeath, Caithness, Scotland. His wife had given birth to their third child, Prince Michael of Kent, only six weeks earlier. He was initially buried in St. George's Chapel, Windsor, England: his remains were later moved to the royal burial ground, adjacent to Queen Victoria's mausoleum, at Frogmore, Windsor, England. He was succeeded as Duke of Kent by his elder son, Edward."
Anthony Frederick Blunt (September 26, 1907 - March 26, 1983) was an English art historian and the "Fourth Man" of the Cambridge Five, a group of spies working for the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
He was born in Bournemouth, where his father had been a vicar. He studied at Trinity College, Cambridge, graduated in 1930, and became a teacher of French. He became a Fellow of the college in 1932, and in 1965 was Slade Professor of Fine Art in Cambridge. He was a member of the Cambridge Apostles, a secret society which at that time was Marxist, formed from members of Cambridge University. He was also a homosexual and close aide of Guy Burgess.
After visiting Russia in 1933, he was recruited by the NKVD (forerunner of the KGB) in 1934. He joined the British Army in 1939 and in 1940 was recruited to MI5, the military intelligence department, where he had access to Ultra intelligence from decoded Enigma messages. After the war he became director of the Courtauld Institute of Art (1947-1974)
In 1945 he became Surveyor of the King's Pictures, and retained the post under Queen Elizabeth II, for which work he was knighted in 1956. He retained the post until 1972. He was particularly knowledgeable on the works of Nicolas Poussin.
MI5 learned of his espionage in 1963 from an American, Michael Straight, whom he had unsuccessfully tried to recruit. Blunt confessed to MI5 on April 23, 1964, but his spying career remained an official secret until he was publicly named by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in 1979. His knighthood was immediately revoked, followed by his honorary fellowship of Trinity College. According to MI5 papers released in 2002, the organization was told by writer Lady Moura Budberg in 1950 that Blunt was a member of the Communist Party, but the information was ignored.
He was the brother of writer Wilfrid Jasper Walter Blunt and of numismatist Christopher Evelyn Blunt."

Such plan was well known to the Russians viz Prince George's homosexual relations in particular with Anthony Blunt a factor which explains why it was not until the actual defeat of Hitler in 1945 did Russia declare war on Japan."
It was remiss of me not to mention that Prince George, Duke of Kent, and Rudolf Hess were heading to Sweden, to sign the Peace Treaty with Hitler. Sweden was pro-Nazi and it was the home of crown princess Louise, the sister of Lord Mountbatten and the aunt of Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh. It was Kronberg Castle, the home of Prince Christoph of Hesse and Crown Princess Louise that the British royal family sent Anthony Blunt and others in the dying weeks of the war to recover embarrassing correspondence - as depicted in Netflix's The Crown TV series.

I can't cite a source, but didn't Hitler believe until almost the end that Britain and the US would make peace with him and then join him in the war against the Russians? Which might explain why he repeatedly refused to pull back German forces from the Baltic Republics until they were surrounded and forced to surrender by early '45.

Hence, the parachuting of this very high ranked Nazi in England in the midst of WW2 is not to be taken lightly under any circumstance. Hess had to carry a message of the outmost importance that could not be transmitted over a telephone line, a telegram, or any other form of communication that could be intercepted by intelligence agencies that were all on full alert 24/7 all over Europe in 1941.[/FONT]
Many historians and journalists have leaned over the table as if facing a jigsaw puzzle, trying to fit the pieces to make some sense of the crazy Hess trip to England. If you're amongst the few people still interested in history and you're looking for some information on the matter, Wikipedia and multiple other mainstream narratives loosely reflect what we learn in schools. One explanation simply says that Hess had suddenly gone mad and tried to escape the fate of Germany on a solo flight. Others claim that Hess sought to win Hitler's favors back by negotiating a truce with England on his own initiative. There is also the wild theory that Hess was trying to use the British monarchy to oust Churchill of power. Different theories will range all the way to the most popular version of an official mission under the order of Hitler that needed to negotiate peace with England before he attacked the Soviet Union, which would come the next month on June 22nd 1941. In almost every theory, historians agree that Hess had chosen to meet the Duke of Hamilton, an influential member of the Anglo-German Fellowship Association, since there is overwhelming evidence that the Royal Family was in favor of the Nazis and wanted peace with Germany, as opposed to Churchill who posed as the great Nazi slayer. Most of the theories will end by saying that neither the Duke of Hamilton, nor Churchill, nor anyone holding a high-profile position accepted to meet Hess, before he was sent in prison after saying what he had to say. And whatever that was, Hess had forgotten about it by the time he was prosecuted in Nuremberg after the war, since timely amnesia got ahold of his suddenly failing brain.[/FONT]
