IMHO the National Security State is orchestrating this Trump impeachment drama. It seems like the agenda is this:

1. Plaster this stuff about Joe Biden and his son all over the media to destroy Biden

2. Start an impeachment trial in the Senate which absorbs all the time of Bernie and Elizabeth Warren during the primaries

3. The impeachment drama will overshadow the Democratic primary race and allow Bloomberg and/or Steyer to sneak in by the back door.

4. Blackmail the Republican Senators with the threat of endless investigations of themselves (and worse, their families) so as to eliminate Trump.

The possibility of Trump being in the White House after 2020, never having to be elected again is anethema to the National Security State, Wall Street, Silicone Valley etc.etc. etc.

IN FACT, ONE COULD SAY WITH SOME ASSURANCE THAT IT WILL NEVER BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN.!!!!

As I have posted elsewhere, Steyer's father was a partner in Sullivan and Cromwell which was the Dulles Brothers' law firm and Steyer himself is a Yale graduate and former member of Goldman, Sachs. You just don't get a more pure Deep State resume than that. Probably a Skull and Bones guy, too (just guessing).

Bernie is the only true and consistent progressive. Elizabeth Warren suffers from a fatal lack of self-insight and reflectiveness. Why would she list herself as an ethnic Native American on an application to join the Texas Bar? Even if she had one Native American ancestor, that wouldn't affect her ethnicity. So she doesn't even understand her own ethnicity. That's pretty basic, IMHO.

Warren blithely announces that she would abolish both ICE and the Electoral College.

With respect to the Electoral College, a Harvard Law professor should have to display a better knowledge of the purpose of the Electoral College and have at least a nuanced opinion.

The issue of abolishing the Electoral College is a complicated and nuanced question. It does not merit a "yes or no" answer.

Warren, like Hillary is almost a genius-level IQ, but if you analyze her opinions carefully, you will see that she lacks reflectiveness and self-insight (like Hillary).

The real test will be whether the Deep State (National Security State) can outweigh the total influence of all elected officials in Washington. Right now it looks like the elected officials are backed up on the one-yard line with a few seconds left in the game (so to speak).

I hope I'm wrong. I happen to like the chance to vote on our leaders. I don't want our leaders chosen by the KGB---oops, did I say KGB?---I meant the CIA.

The FBI Inspector General's Report is out. He says "there is no testimonial or documentary evidence of political bias." He doesn't say unequivocally that "there was no evidence of political bias" or that "there was no bias". He is using weasel words to avoid the obvious fact that there were numerous FBI e-mails showing incredible bias.

I have not read the report. More is likely to be coming out very soon Stay tuned---AND----

This kind of looks like the FBI Inspector General is not honest and should be fired. Am I the only one who is thinking this tonight?

Isn't anybody interested in the Deep State vs. Trump vs. Biden vs. Liz Warren saga that is currently unfolding?

It seems to me that virtual experts such as we have here at Deep Politics Forum owe it to the USA to analyze the dynamics involving the Deep State, Trump and the 2020 Election.

I don't know about anybody else here, but this impeachment trial might be the pot -at-the-end-of-the-rainbow for people (like me) who revel in all this Deep State and National Security State kettle of stew. More fun than a barrel of monkeys IMHO.

In the Inspector General Horowitz hearing, both Dems and Republicans were suggesting that this latest caper by the FISA court and friends may spell doomsday for the entire FISA Court concept.

The FISA court has eleven judges, but they approve 98% of the cases and they haven't raised even a whisper about this invention of the Russia Probe (out of whole cloth and thin air), despite their central role and huge collective screw-up.

Personally, I'm riveted to this whole scenario.

I believe every one of them is corrupt, compromised, and beholden. Every person with political power is a compromised individual.

Donald Trump is as much a deep state player as Hillary Clinton.

I tend not to pay any attention to the unfolding drama, it's so boring, predictable, by the numbers B.S.

The recent assassination of the commander in chief of the Iranian military has got my attention. It appears that the puppet masters have another war on the agenda and the opening salvo was carried out in probably the most overt and obnoxious method possible. Had this guy been a bad actor it would be very easy for clandestine services to take him out and leave the circumstances ambiguous enough to not have a direct link to the United States. Instead, it was done so overtly and then immediately the President is gloating about it on Twitter.

The assassination of a sovereign nation's military commander has my attention, but none of this bread and circus nonsense going on in D.C. -- that's all a neverending game carried out among despicable people who are all bad for this country both left and right. Both parties are toxic and phoney and do not operate in the interests of normal people. They're all guilty and need to go, every last one from Schiff to Trump.

This is what we're left with after having our political process turn into a totally corrupt machine. To be a player you must be a part of that machine.
