Essex girls have finally tired of being the butt of jokes and are fighting back against their "much maligned" image of white stiletto-heeled dimwits.

A charity known as the Essex Women's Advisory Group has been set up by local ladies Daphne Field and Elizabeth Hart, chairman of Essex County Council, who says the teasing is beyond a joke.

THE reality of “boozed up Britain” was on full show when a semi-naked young woman clambered over a car - in Colchester High Street.

Well, it's off to Colchester High Street on Friday evenings for me from now on.

There is a British programme we get here sometimes called 'Ladettes to Ladies' where these young girls with no social skills and alcohol problems go to be turned into a Lady. A difficult job for the matrons who try. Now I know where all these Ladettes come from. :girl:
