Perhaps not the perfect documentary, but I was really interested in how it gave some historic depth and fleshed out some of the players behind Wikileaks - which is being denied us by the MSM. I think the filmmakers had no grand agenda[s]. This is not their final version, which will soon be shown on Swedish TV and then [I believe] available on the internet. To all who feel that Assange or others in Wikileaks might have other agendas or are being controlled by powerful forces, I have no problem with that, but I think it is not so cut and dry. My own sense was that Assange is Assange - a very bright hacker and a very strange personality - who wants to be Don Quixote and there is nothing wrong with that. If it is true [not seen it confirmed] that he believes the official version of 9-11, for example, makes him uninformed surely - even naive, but doesn't prove to me he is 'on the other side'. I think he has been spending his life hacking and not analyzing deep politics - but he's getting a crash course as we speak. Will be interesting to see if he comes out of the oven changed in the coming weeks. I believe I remember the Berg fellow has now had a difference of opinion over Assange's style (and some of his methods) and was going to do a break-off site. Not sure it is the same as the very suspect one listed today on the other thread. I hope not. [trusting the MSM alone is a step into the mouth of the Dragon - likely the plan for 'that' one...as David pointed out.]
Anyway, I hope this makes it on other TV networks around the world. [If you have connections to venues that would consider broadcasting it, please DO SO!] From here, I think others can explore the group and the persons behind it further. Little noted, but significant is that another well-known hacker turned in Manning to the USG. He is now booed and often shunned at hacking conventions and meetings. If nothing else, as others have commented, the Collateral Damage video ALONE should be enough to shut down the War and the US War Machine...as it is SOP and goes on day after day, every day. Just one that was caught on film, Like Mai Lai. Assange seems complex, and here we get some of his many facets. There must be others in Australia and elsewhere who know him well and could provide even more information. All in all, I thought it was a good film and does us a great service. More of this type are needed.
