To post a picture click on the 'Image' icon as seen below in the screen shot with the red arrow pointing at it. It looks like a tree in a field.

When this is clicked it will go black like this at first:

Then this box will come. Click the 'Basic Uploader' link identified by the red arrow:

Once you have done that you will get this smaller box with the 'Browse' button. Click that to look for your file on your computer and select what file you wish to upload.

All done.

Thanks...I will try it. But the software is entirely too complicated
and has no tutorial such as you provided.

There's a fairly comprehensive help system under 'Forum > FAQ here

It includes uploading attachments/images

The tutorial posted only works when the image is on an external URL
like Photobucket. It does not work with images stored on my computer.
I have more than 250,000 images on my computer, and it is impractical
to put images on Photobucket.

It works from both external url AND your home computer. There's a 'select file' button under the files list box plus two tabs above it to select 'from computer' or 'from url'

Thanks...BUT it says that images can ONLY be attached to ORIGINAL
MESSAGES, but NOT TO REPLIES. That is a crappy sort of software.
How can I reply to a message by showing an image? I have to begin
a new thread completely unrelated to the message I want to reply to!

This software was devised by someone who does not know the needs
of the user.

What is wrong with reverting to the previous software?

hi jack magdA, THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO, THE BIG PROBLEM I AM HAVING IS FINDING THE FOLDER THAT I WANT...THE REST I HAVE GOTTEN DOWN BUT NOT THE FIND..TA B
Testing the grinning grimace of DeNiro sucking on the opium pipe...
Jack - we can't go back to the previous software even if we wanted to, because the company was bought out and only the new version of the software is supported.

So, we're working very hard behind the scenes and under the bonnet to improve the look and functionality of the software. Please bear with us - we greatly value the presence of you and all our friends and fellow researchers here.

I did successfully upload the DeNiro image in the post above from my computer (not from a url). I'm also going to try adding a "Homeland Security" image to this post following the path below.

Here are the steps:

1) Click on "Reply to Thread" to start a new reply (or reply quoting a previous post);

2) Scroll down until you see tab "Manage Attachments", and click on that;

3) In the new window that opens, click on the tab "Add Files", which should by default select the option "Upload Files from your Computer";

4) In that window, click on the tab "Select Files" and navigate to the relevant folder and then image on your own computer;

5) Click on the image or images you want to include in your post, and click on the "Upload Files" option;

6) The window should close, and then click on the tab "Done";

7) If you want, click on the tab "Preview Post" to check the image is there;

8) Click on the tab "Submit Reply".

Hope this works.
