That was great!!!
Ohmigod!

My local Waitrose isn't close to being that much fun. Even with just 10% of that taking place, I wouldn't get any shopping ever done.

We Brits are just so, well, so normal.

Perhaps the word is boring?

I think the concept we're looking for here is that many Americans are outrageously bizarre - it has long been the only way to deal with the reality America dishes out! Not all, but an awful lot of Americans [and especially in certain areas of the country] LOVE to be just as different as they can be from everyone else. It is true, that when I go to England, everyone is trying [like the Ninja Turtle Riot squads] to look pretty much like everyone else. You had Monty Python. We ARE Monty Python [or maybe just the American insane asylum]
Just find any of hundreds of Youtube flicks of the Venice, CA boardwalk. NB - I used to be [for several years, I'll have you know] one of the 'events' on that boardwalk...but won't tell which one I was!......:popworm:
You can say that Pete ---- I can't.

Have you seen the Venice, CA youtube yet?......I just picked this one after looking at a few [I imagine if I look hard enough I might even find one with me in it!]...but a large number of those crazies I used to talk to or pass every day...and many NOT in that short video. The total collection at that zoo numbered MANY hundreds weekdays and MANY thousands weekends and all summer.

Which part are you referring to....that I said for you? Wink
The outrageously bizarre bit....Read

Eccentric and wildly :director: individualistic is perhaps more apt and politically correct. I restate my statement, as amended.

If the People be judged by their Governments and [when applicable] 'Royal Jelly', both nation's inhabitants are, to my way of thinking, more than a wee bit 'odd' - in their own inexplicable ways. Reginald Perrin would not have flinched in that Wal Mart. Monty Python would have been drown out in the camouflage.
