Deep Politics Forum

It was one year ago today, March 8th, 2010 that we first learned of the passing of Rich DellaRosa. The website was maintained since then by his wife and daughter, until it finally found a home on the DPF a number of weeks ago as an archive. All of the information has been preserved in a manner consistent with the same "look and feel" as the original.

This is a reminder that a lot of good work was accomplished at Rich's site and much of it is available for inspection due to its having been archived here.

RIP, Don Riccardo. Thanks to Magda, et al, for providing a home for the archive.

A sad anniversary. The news of his death came as a shock to me, though I long knew he had been ill. More so because only about ten days before he had emailed me [I guess from the hospital] asking a very specific research question....he was working to solve the mysteries of Dallas to the very end! I think it was a very good site, with much good work done and posted.

I don't know if a copy of the forum itself still is in someone's hands. If not, there is a special software [not easy to use, but can be learned] called Warrick, which can [over a few months] re-construct any lost website. FWIW

Rest in Peace, Rich - you did your job well and are a hard act to follow and emulate!

He is missed,was shared by the many, and his lovely wife Shelby, shared him generously with all,and worked with and for him, to her great credit, there were some i'll call diller times on the forum, which was home, some days, dixie reminded me, we would be logged on, just about all day, really, for fear of missing anything, i admit...i had followed as best i could the assassinations,with what info was available up here, but there was not much in the way of books etc, and was not priviledged to the information which flowed there or the discoveries made, i think it was len osanic that mentioned, the new discoveries that at one time, seemed to mainly come out of rich's forum, and there were great names associated, mary ferrell, david lifton,jack white, names i had only heard or read of,and many, many more,logged on, whom do not come to mind right now of course, duh...many authors, also, as well as the many disinfos and lnr's and neocons, as they are called now, by some, they were great times, but all comes to an end, the most important i think he taught us, was to carry on, no matter how down and out you get, get over it, pick up your books, and continue.it is worth the effort...and most important i think, laugh...here is one of his all time favourite gifs, we could never figure out the why....LOL.LLH..magda if it does not enable, please do so, thank you, best all......b:pinkelephant:yepper, click her on, thanks she's walking...

It was a great site....one of [if not the] best dedicated to the JFK Assassination and all of of its concomitant lies and disinformation. I must admit I joined rather late, due to my life having been destroyed for my own investigations into the very same event...leaving me even without a home or internet for many a year. Rich was knowledgeable to a fault, evenhanded to a fault, and hosted many very important discussions/investigations/threads on JFK and related.

As some of you know, but many may not, Rich was one of the select few who had been able to view [more than once] the 'other' Z-film [likely the original, uncut/un-doctored version]...as well as having met and discussed with several of the limited others who also had.

Rich's sense on the events of Dallas I agree with almost entirely. Yet, he was tolerant of other viewpoints, as long as the poster did not break the forum rules. He ran a 'tight ship'.

Sadly, all too often, the good they die young!......

Hi Peter,

Rich's wife, Shelby, maintains copyright ownership of all information from the JFKresearch Assassination Website. She controls not only what has been archived here at DPF, but also the actual discussion forum's contents, including all posts and past discussion threads. There is not now nor in the past has there ever been a plan to reconstruct the "forum" section of JFKresearch. Anyone who saved their own post(s) from that forum is, of course, free to post them wherever they might desire.

Speaking for myself, I think that without Rich's oversight there is perhaps a concern that the spirit of what he originated could be lost by reviving those threads and the forum. Another issue is that many of the authors of those original topics may not know that their posts have been made active again and would therefore be unable to "defend" or explain their position to those who might criticize or question their work.

I, too, long for "the good old days" and sometimes wish we could have them back again. Unfortunately, that is not to be. Rich is gone. It is what it is. We were fortunate to have him and the forum for as long as we did. But, that part has ended.

Having said all that, I am very grateful to the administrators/owners of DPF that the "non-forum" content of JFKresearch.com has found a home here.

Thanks Greg. I think Peter was just saying that because there were so much great information on some of the Dellarosa forum threads which he would love to see survived. Some have saved their postings and other haven't. Peter had all his posts from the EF disappeared by the admins for some reason known only to them. So I think he is just referring to the preservation of the information in general not resurrecting the forum. And, yes, Shelby retains all ownership of all of the Rich Dellarosa files. We are merely providing it with a home here for the research community.

Understood. My post wasn't meant as any type of reprimand toward Peter. If that's how it appeared, my apologies, Peter.

Today is the second anniversary of my husband's death. I wanted to say a public thank you to those of you who periodically keep in touch with me to see how our sons and I are doing. And I want to thank the folks here at Deep Politics for keeping the JFKresearch archive as intact as they have. I know some files and things didn't make the transition well but, as a whole, they have done a remarkable job and I am grateful.

I hope no one is offended by this posting. I just wanted to acknowledge this date with so many of the people with whom he was connected.

Yes, I know the date well. On a daily basis I feel the loss, too. Not the same as yours, but mine all the same.
