A body found in a lock-up garage in New Malden, southwest London, was identified as that of missing oil executive Carole Waugh, the Scotland Yard said Friday.
Waugh, 50, who had previously worked in the oil industry in London andLibya, had not been seen by family or friends since April, when they discussed a planned 50th birthday party for her in June.
Concerns grew last week, when British police said Waugh may have been abducted by a gang of fraudsters who have tried to sell her $1 million London apartment and may have forced her to hand over her bank codes.
Detectives said that an unidentified man impersonating her brother had met people in her apartment in central London's upmarket Marylebone neighborhood in an apparent attempt to sell the property, The Times reported (site operates behind a paywall).
The man, 47, was initially arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and kidnap, the BBC reported. He was later arrested on suspicion of murder, however, when police decided to treat Waugh's disappearance as a murder investigation.
The body was found in a Volkswagen Golf parked in a private courtyard, the BBC reported. Waugh's jewelry and stolen money are still missing.
Detectives believe she may have led a double life. According to the BBC,prostitution was one line of inquiry, along with Waugh's use of Internet dating sites.
Waugh was single, and police have been trying to trace men she may have met online.
Police officers told The Times that Waugh had been impersonated by at least three women at financial institutions across London. Earlier last week, two women, aged 48 and 50, were arrested on charges of conspiracy to defraud in connection with the case. The 48-year-old has been freed on bail, the newspaper said.

Sections of the British media are painting a picture of Carole Waugh as a "high class prostitute" rather than an "oil executive" and focusing on minute details of the crime scene where her body was found with a single stab wound, in a car in a lock-up garage in a quiet country town in the English countryside, while missing the big picture.

The reports say that she was killed some months ago, and that the body would perhaps not be discovered for years, if not for what they claim may have been a tip off to check the garage. They focus on showing that the crime was likely financial because they say that her accounts and residence were plundered after her death, continuing in her name.

However, that she was connected with one of the key oil men in Libya, Shukri Ghanem, who was tasked with ensuring western interests in the oil industry and not the Libyan Revolutionary Leader Muammar Qadhafi's call for the profits to be distributed directly to the Libyan masses, and for payments to be made in gold, were represented.

Ghanem's body showed up in a canal near his Vienna residence not far from the OPEC oil cartel headquarters. It is claimed he died of a heart attack and then "fell into the river."

As reported on Mathaba, Sayf Al Islam Al Qadhafi, along with Libya's intelligence chief Abdulla Sanussi, hold a great many embarrassing secrets of western leaders and their corruption, including Tony Blair and his benefits from deals concluded in Libya. Sayf remains alive, and the ICC is determined that he does not appear in a public trial, contrary to western media reports and ICC claims, as shown by expert analysis.

Sanussi remains at large, even though the French and Interpol are claiming to want to arrest him for trial at the so-called "International Criminal Court" in The Hague, widely referred to among Africans as the "Imperialist Caucausians Court".

Investigative reporters should study some of the allegations being made by the U.S. researcher, and various claimed facts that require checking:

* Carole Waugh was a "close" friend of Sayf Al Islam
* She bought an expensive flat in England in 1998
* She was in Libya in 2000 living as a "neighbor" to Sayf Al Islam
* In 1998 Sayf started his MA in Vienna and in 2000 he completed the MA
* Veba oil was bought out in 2001 by Petro-Canada
* In September 2009 Qadhafi threatened to seize their assets

"In 2006 after working there for 6 years, with no furniture, nothing except expensive travel luggage, Carole Waugh gets an exceptional exit and return entrance visa to Libya -- who arranged that? She worked with Ghanem, of that there is no doubt, being an office and financial manager. The same year 2006 came the blow up when Ghanem was removed as (General Secretary of the General People's Committee) and put in charge at the NOC, without Sayf being told.

After that - whatever the time element - back comes Carole Waugh - and now stays with someone she felt safe with - the Scottish owner of MSL Oil Services for close to 2 years until the blow up on 2008.

If you are going to get rid of Ghanem who would have been a witness for Saif you also get rid of the woman who could support Saif -- she was killed with ONE knife thrust -- that's the mark of a professional."

British police say that Ms Waugh, 50, an oil executive originally from Durham, had not been seen since mid-April. Police are appealing for information about the car the body was found in, in spite of the fact that all vehicles in England are registered, and there are CCTV cameras on almost every street corner monitoring traffic and the movement of people.

Media report that New Scotland Yard "detectives", known for their service to the international Jewish mafia, and for silencing thorns in the side of the British establishment, say "Ms Waugh, who previously lived in Libya, met men through a variety of internet sites, including dating websites", and that "Police were also investigating the possibility that she might have been an escort".

The detectives say "at least three different women tried to impersonate the oil executive by using her credit cards. They are among eight people to have been arrested in connection with the case so far, while a man pretending to be her brother, Chris, has tried to sell her flat in central London."

The man, Nicholas David Kutner, 47, of no fixed abode, is accused of pretending to be Chris Waugh, Ms Waugh's brother, in a bid to sell her expensive London flat. Media say he has been charged with four counts of conspiracy to commit fraud.

He also faces two charges relating to renting her property at Tressard Court in south-west London and a fourth of unlawfully withdrawing funds from the 50-year-old's bank account.

Miss Waugh, originally from Durham but living in London, had not been seen by her family for more than three months.

Her body was discovered with a single stab wound inside a car at a garage in south-west London on Thursday.

The Metropolitan police said Kutner was bailed to return to a police station on 25 August relating to his arrest on suspicion of murder and kidnap last Wednesday.

British compliant media toe the official line, reporting:

"Waugh, who had worked in the oil industry in Libya, had not been seen since mid-April when she spent the weekend with her family in Durham. She last contacted them on her arrival home in London.

Detectives from the homicide and serious crime command took over the missing persons investigation two weeks ago, after Waugh's bank accounts became the target of significant fraudulent activity.

Her body was later discovered in a VW Golf at a garage in Lime Court, New Malden.

Detective Chief Inspector John McFarlane, who is leading the investigation, said: "The vehicle is a blue VW Golf, registration number W466 NHL. We need to hear from anyone with information on the car, particularly since April this year. Anyone who can assist us on where it has been since then, or can advise on anyone with a connection to it, should come forward."

The lock-up is in a row of garages behind two detached 1930s houses in a quiet street. They have been cordoned off while forensic teams investigate the scene.

McFarlane said: "We now believe Carole has not been seen alive since 16 April. Since that time significant plundering of her estate has taken place to the value of hundreds of thousands of pounds."

Personal items, including Cartier jewellery, had gone missing from her flat. Police have released images of a Cartier ring, a white gold bracelet, a yellow gold bracelet and a yellow gold necklace.

"Carole wore the jewellery regularly," McFarlane said. "I appeal to anyone who may have been offered such jewellery or has any knowledge of its whereabouts to contact us with information."

One line of police inquiry has been into suspicions that Waugh led a double life. While her family believed she was a successful businesswoman, officers were investigating evidence that she worked as an escort in London.

Ten people have been arrested concerning Waugh's disappearance, which became a murder hunt this week."

Apparently there is no line of inquiry into the usual international oil gangsters, their connections with the British government, and their desperation to silence Sayf al Islam Qadhafi and Ibrahim Sanussi, along with independent media that dare to report on these connections.

Keith - it is a sure sign that the "smutty sex" angle is Spook Central's attempts to smear Waugh and stop researchers investigating.

It's entirely analogous to the Gareth Williams - "SM freak who liked dressing up as a woman and thus locked himself in sports bag for sexual pleasure" - psyop garbage.
