MH 370: Missing Malaysian Airliner - Peter Lemkin - 20-03-2014
Well, the 'heading toward the S. Pole' now looks like the pet theory....but why?! It makes no sense with available information and even with some wild speculation.
Latest search area of greatest interest:

As Oz started searching here many days ago, I speculate they were given data by the US or others [not made public until last night] long ago. Interestingly this is the exact same coordinates [if inverted on the Northern arc] as Xangxing Provence in China. Also, it is believed there are secret submarine sensing devices on the seafloor here that can pick up a crash and possibly even wreckage hitting ocean bottom - though only large pieces. Most will float and disperse...slowly sinking. This all presumes this is not another diversion. I really feel sorry for the families and the passengers. If they landed or crashed there, they didn't stand a chance - seconds to minutes - if that.

Military assumes threat aircraft are going to be non-transponder bogies. Therefore they have heat signature satellite detection. CIA could easily access ATC radar and its computers could combine that image with their spy satellite heat signature image and sort out, in about ten seconds, which unidentified bogey matched an errant 777. Especially with such an eccentric South Indian Ocean track.

Let's just go back to the beginning. The aircraft turns off its transponders, quits communicating, and heads west back over land. Next we are expected to believe the air traffic controllers turn into a bunch of donut munchers trying to figure out what to do next.
That's the part where the whole thing falls apart.

Speculatively I'm thinking a possible fire on board for which the procedure is to turn off all the communications. Though one would think they would send out a May Day before doing that. If there was enough toxic fumes before they could get their oxygen maks on, big if because the oxygen masks are supposed to drop automatically, pilots could have been rendered unconscious and the plane flown on auto pilot till the fuel ran out. Like that guy in the small plane that had the heart attack about 10 or 15 years ago. The pilots could have been rendered unconscious by other means of course. A third party, though to what end is unclear, and air line food is a bit sus some times.

I don't think so. I don't think the fire or any such electrical problems can account for the evidence [if it is real evidence], thus far. While the new search area 2,500Km SW of Australia is remote and known for bad weather and strong currents - and it has been a long time, that nothing has yet been found makes me wonder if the plane really went down there - and if so WHY? The pilots here http://www.pprune.org/rumours-news/535538-malaysian-airlines-mh370-contact-lost-327.html have convinced me that had the pilots succumbed, there is no way the autopilot could be changed to a totally different direction, much less having done so at least there times. I'm back to thinking we are only being shown the magicians hand - the one that is NOT doing the 'trick'.

One of the news reports said that the part of the southern ocean they are now searching is just about the deepest part of any ocean in the world, and recovering a submerged aircraft from there would be nigh on impossible. Lost forever. Like the non-existent cadaver of Osama bin Laden perhaps?

I'm still confused how it is that an airplane can 'disappear' and no alarms go off until they don't arrive at their destination. I would have thought that the airline definitely and possibly the various air traffic controls along the route would say "Gee, MH370 hasn't checked in with any of us for the last 2 hours we better look for them and see if they are okay". As it is they are looking in some very remote places. Bad stuff could still happen of course but at least they'd have a much better determination of where it is likely to be found.

Apparently VietNam Air Traffic Control noticed right away when Flight 370 failed to transfer over to their airspace.
That's why I keep posting that the media is negligent in not demanding to know how they reacted and who was informed. Once you find that out you'll realize that some serious tracking technology was available that was most likely utilized and most likely knew where Flight 370 was real-time and didn't inform the public of it.
I got in a discussion in the CNN comments section with what was probably an intel spook trying to convince me the US only deploys the technology I'm talking about around its borders. That of course is easily, laughably disproven by a simple analysis of the US's spy satellite technology. The spook even admitted US used such heat signature technology on its missile launch detection equipment. When I responded that he had just contradicted himself by admitting the missile detection devices and that they were the same technology that could track a 777's heat signature my post was moderated and never appeared on the page. CNN = CIA. But a good analogy would be whatever tracking technology that allowed that spook to detect my truthful post is the same level of alertnesss and detection, in a loose way, that CIA has towards unresponsive planes. Especially ones that they had hours to track.
Pilots are seriously trained. There is no fire event in aviation history where the pilots didn't react and get in serious distress calls. Pilots know to get the oxygen mask on first and quickly. Fires usually have a smoke smell long before they become serious. The cargo hold has serious high-tech smoke detectors that trigger alarms.

I'm pretty sure the drastic altitude changes could not be done with a passed-out crew.
