How can this stand as "law"?
This is not law, it is forced submission as in the Nixon/Mitchell era.
Respect the Cops? WHY? Show me why?

Respect is earned by character and conduct. PERIOD.
It cannot be demanded and can never instituted by law.
The citizens' duty the Declaration of Independence defined comes to mind - hard and fast.
