No, I think Walter Reed was miles away but they decided to combine both military hospitals under the name Walter Reed.
You can Google satellite the original Walter Reed Hospital at 6900 Georgia Avenue NW, Washington, D.C., USA.

On the Air Force 1 tapes they were trying to go to Walter Reed but they probably figured out it was better to do the covert pre-autopsy under one roof at Bethesda where they could control it better. In my opinion the pre-autopsy is so obvious it should be spoken of as fact at this point.
