Oswald's tax records - Jim Hargrove - 15-10-2014 But when you look at the Full Picture, including the conflicting school records, employment records, Marine Corps documents, travel conflicts, witness conflicts, driver's license conflicts, arrest records, etc. it all shows a pattern hardly explained by an Angleton mole hunt. Oswald's tax records - Drew Phipps - 15-10-2014 There is a document purporting to be a 1956 LHO tax return here: http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/lho56tax.gif Oswald's tax records - Drew Phipps - 15-10-2014 Did Armstrong ever explain how Harvey could leave the Marines to work for Pfisterer and then return to the Marines without some sort of notation to that effect in his service records? Oswald's tax records - Jim Hargrove - 15-10-2014 I don't remember a specific comment from John about that, but I would assume that spies, and spies in training, require a certain amount of assistance in making certain their paperwork is all in order. Or, just as possible, the FBI or the Marines, or the WC made a notation like the one you describe just disappear Oswald's tax records - Jim Hargrove - 15-10-2014 Drew Phipps Wrote:There is a document purporting to be a 1956 LHO tax return here: This is a fine looking document that the good professor is showing us. We used to have this up on the Harvey and Lee website, but since everyone understood how phony it was, we took it down. Here are a few of the problems with this return: 1. "Lee Harvey Oswald" signed this alleged return on Feb. 7, 1957, when he was in the United States Marine Corps. He was also in the Marine Corps in 1956, enlisting in October of that year. So why wasn't his 1956 Marine Corp income listed on that form? The answer is simple, because whoever forged this document did not have access to Oswald's USMC payroll records. In fact, the Department of the Navy did not release Oswald's Marine Corps income records until September 1964, long after this document was forged. I believe there is a long thread somewhere on this forum discussing this very issue and the problems with the forged return. 2. This income does not appear in Oswald's lifetime Social Security income statement. Why? 3. The W-2 forms that this phony tax return was based on were supposedly prepared by three different companies. Yet when I followed John's suggestion to send copies to IBM archivist Dawn Sanford (an expert on typography), she indicated that she thought they were all typed on the same machine, one that had a highly unusual font that she had no examples of, despite the thousands of samples in her files. Does anyone think it is reasonable to assume that Lee Harvey Oswald, signing a tax return while wearing his Marine Corps uniform, would forget to include his USMC income? Thank you though for pointing this out. I'm going to put this old stuff back up on the website in case anyone brings it up again. Oswald's tax records - Drew Phipps - 15-10-2014 Wonder if it was a russian typewriter? Oswald's tax records - Jim Hargrove - 15-10-2014 This forgery appears to be made in the good ole USA. This tax form is one of the many, many documents that magically appeared when the FBI secretly returned to Dallas Oswald's "possessions" that had secretly been sent to the FBI three days earlier. A week after that Oswald's possessions were "officially" sent to the FBI from the DPD. That's why only FBI initials appear on it, not DPD's, Oswald's tax records - Martin White - 16-10-2014 Citing Mr Nolan on anything is a dangerous practice. Oswald's tax records - Martin White - 21-10-2014 Well, well, well. So it seems that Marina did authorise their release, to the Fontaines, and - crucially - "for the express purpose of making these materials available to the American public through the print and/or electronic media, and answering all questions raised about Lee Oswald's tax returns since 1963." http://www.jfklancer.com/docs.maps/taxrecords/Porter_ltr.JPG and http://www.jfklancer.com/docs.maps/taxrecords/Porter_ltrpg2.JPG They also featured in The Continuing Inquiry by Mary Ferrell in 1977. However, it seems that Mary only "reconstructed" his tax affairs based on income from employment declared within the 26 volumes of the WC. She finishes the article by saying that only the disclosure of hisactual tax record would settle the argument as to whether or not he received income and/or expenses from the FBI or any other agency. http://digitalcollections.baylor.edu/cdm/ref/collection/po-jones/id/1109 [Information furnished by Gary Mack via email] Oswald's tax records - Jim Hargrove - 21-10-2014 But, of course, there are no returns to actually see.... ....other than the fraudulent W-2s and 1040 form the FBI slipped into "Oswald's Possessions" during the few days it secretly held all the evidence in Washington before returning it secretly to Dallas Police, before publicly sending it all back to the FBI.
