Kurt Cobain - Soaked In Bleach - R.K. Locke - 17-06-2015 Some of the details are covered in this interview which has been posted elsewhere on the site: The material relevant to this thread starts around 57 minutes. Kurt Cobain - Soaked In Bleach - Dawn Meredith - 20-06-2015 I read recently that she had letters sent out attempting to stop the release of the film. I also read that their child has negative feelings for Kurt. So sad, what would the girl think if she knew Love had her dad murdered. Will get the book, but it's on a long waiting list. I did not know the stuff about Hendrix Brian Jones and John Lennon. What a super band it would have been. I also knew little about the death of Jimi, but am learning. Having grown up and coming of age during the 60s, being a part of the "all you need is love" era, and loving those times where we felt that the world WAS getting better, it is disheartening to see that it was all an MK ULTRA plan to get us to drop acid. Marty Lee's book years ago was an eye opener, coupled with all the Laurel Canyon strangeness. "Nothing is real". (JL). But my memories remain pure. Dawn Kurt Cobain - Soaked In Bleach - R.K. "I would tell you right now if I were the Chief of Police, I would reopen this investigation," said Norm Stamper, who took over the police department months before Cobain's death. The 27-year-old rockstar was found dead from a gunshot wound in April 1994 at his home in Seattle and Mr Stamper's officers were called to the scene. Kurt Cobain was not a 'tortured genius', he had an illness Although a suicide note was found by his body many fans have long believed Cobain was murdered. Mr Stamper, who left police work in 2000 to become a writer and blogger, spoke to the makers of Soaked in Bleach, a new documentary which focuses on a theory put forward by some fans that Cobain's widow Courtney Love played a role in his death. Ms Love, who has always strenously denied such allegations, has already sent warning letters to cinemas considering showing the documentary. Courtney Love, Cobain's widow Mr Stamper does not point the finger at anyone directly but said his investigators should not have discounted the possibility Cobain was murdered. "We should in fact have taken steps to study patterns involved in the behaviour of key individuals who had a motive to see Kurt Cobain dead," he said, according to excerpts in Spin Magazine. "If in fact Kurt Cobain was murdered, as opposed to having committed suicide, and it was possible to learn that, shame on us for not doing that. That was in fact our responsibility," he said. "It's about right and wrong. It's about honour. It's about ethics," he added. "If we didn't get it right the first time, we damn well better get it right the second time, and I would tell you right now if I were the Chief of Police, I would reopen this investigation." Courtney Love attacked by anti-Uber protesters in Paris Mr Stamper said it was "entirely possible" that his officers might have missed evidence that would point towards murder. Ms Love's lawyers said the idea she was behind her husband's death was "a widely and repeatedly debunked conspiracy theory" and demanded that the cinemas not show the film. Soaked in Bleach is the first documentary from Benjamin Slater and has received mixed reviews from critics. "Despite a low-rent aesthetic that... doesn't sufficiently distance it from the tinfoil-hat world, Soaked presents evidence one has a hard time dismissing," wrote the Hollywood Reporter. Kurt Cobain - Soaked In Bleach - Ashley Wood - 08-07-2015 If anyone here or indeed if anyone on a quality Hendrix,Stones or Beatles site can show me the slightest shred of evidence for the claim that Jones, Jimi and John were considering forming a band i would be extremely grateful and even more surprised. The claim is made on page 296 of A.E Hotchner's 1990 book BLOWN AWAY-THE ROLLING STONES AND THE DEATH OF THE SIXTIES. The book has also appeared under a slightly different title. Jones "was enthusiastic about his band plans. He had talked to Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon, and both were seriously considering joining up with him to form a new band." Hotchner was the former longtime editor of Ernest Heningway and interviewed a number of people who knew Jones for his book. The veracity of Hotchner's research and his claims is anyone's guess. Locke - 12-07-2015 It is notable that Hole bassist Kristen Pfaff also died from "acute opiate intoxication" just a couple of months after Kurt Cobain: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kristen_Pfaff From the article above: Her father, Norman Pfaff, described her as "bright, personable, wonderful...very, very talented, smart, and she always seemed to be in control of her circumstances. Last night she wasn't."[9] In the book Love & Death, released April 2004, Kristen Pfaff's mother, Janet Pfaff, states she has never accepted the official story regarding her daughter's death. |
