The hospital was actually hit by an AC-130 'Spooky' gunship, 105mm howitzer, which is kinda interesting, in that they have a broad array of navigation, comms, sensors & targetting equipments, and the US forces knew it was a hospital, it just wasn't mapped-data-uplink-net'ed, but surely they hit what they were aiming at. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kunduz_hospital_airstrike And that's what you get when you rely on hi-tech; I gather water buffalo & buckets of piss defeated Igloo White on the Ho Chi Minh trail; "This state-of-the-art operation utilized electronic sensors, computers, and communications relay aircraft in an attempt to automate intelligence collection. The system would then assist in the direction of strike aircraft to their targets"; there's a hole in my bucket...
