An awful lot of a plane is buoyant and will float no matter how it crashes. Do you get the impression that politics is now taking front & centre? An awful lot of a plane is buoyant and will float no matter how it crashes. Something like that is going on, it seems...but what the motivation would be is not yet clear. I think less likely embarrassment over poor security procedures.......more likely some secret passenger or cargo - or undisclosed threats - though many other possibilities exist. Sadly, the last priorities are protection/recovery of the passengers and plane - and the TRUTH. Governments protect their 'interests' and 'secrets' over the people - mere cannon fodder and pawn chess pieces. It is really on the back burner and nothing like the coverage of the Malaysian planes and the other Asian plane that went missing in the last year which was wall to wall tv coverage. Clearly, the Russkies and Putin can't be blamed and that accounts for the lack of interest. Egypt Air flight MS804 goes off radar en route from Paris - Drew Phipps - 20-05-2016 EgyptAir plane debris, passengers' belongings found: Military CASSANDRA VINOGRAD and CHARLENE GUBASHMay 20th 2016 7:49AM http://www.aol.com/article/2016/05/20/egyptair-plane-debris-found/21380705/ Egypt's military said it found debris in the Mediterranean Sea Friday from the missing EgyptAir passenger plane. Families of the 66 people on board Flight MS804 have been waiting in anguish for news following 24 hours of conflicting information and rampant speculation over what happened to the aircraft. Egyptian army spokesman Brig. Gen. Mohammed Samir said on his verified Facebook page Friday that his military's search planes and vessels had discovered parts of the Airbus A320 along with some passengers' belongings about 180 miles north of the city of Alexandria. The military is certain the debris comes from Flight MS804, Samir told NBC News by phone, adding that all wreckage will be brought back to Egypt for investigation. A body part and suitcases were among the grim findings, according to Greek Defense Minister Panos Kammenos. He told a press conference that Egyptian authorities had informed Greek authorities of the discoveries. Egypt's Ministry of Defense would not confirm or deny the information. The findings were addressed in a subsequent statement from EgyptAirexpressing "deep sorrow for the accident" and offering "condolences to the families of the victims." Friday's news comes after an earlier announcement from EgyptAir about finding debris was retracted. Search planes have been combing the Mediterranean Sea for the downed jet amid an ongoing hunt for the cause of its demise. Terrorism has been cited as a potential cause though officials have cautioned against speculation and there has been no credible claim of responsibility from any group. The jet was en route from Paris to Cairo when it disappeared from radar shortly after entering Egyptian airspace early Thursday. EgyptAir's announcement that afternoon saying wreckage had been found near the Greek island of Karpathos turned out to be premature the airline retracted the statement hours later in an interview with CNN. "We stand corrected on that," EgyptAir Vice President Ahmed Adel told the network. He then had a loud reaction and corrected himself. You could see the reaction was too stressful and probably had a voice stress level that would be interesting to examine for a simple slip of the tongue.
