Next time I'm in our neck of the woods, we'll share a nice bottle of Gran Reserve 904 Rioja. And after that a bottle of Gran Reserva 890. Then a bottle of Prado.

And after that we'll settle down and really start supping.

Hasten the day.

If not the morning after.

Mr. Drago, I am up to my neck now in this book. I finished the sixth essay this afternoon while waiting in hospital waiting rooms (no need for any concern). I will say the following while I look forward to finishing the book:

1) I am now more clear about your reverence for the author, not that I doubted it or misperceived it. The depth of Evica's research, perseverance and analysis are stunning. His language or writing is superb, if slightly but perhaps understandably and necessarily guarded, like a sheathed sword or perhaps a woodworker's adze. Yours is sharper, like an unsheathed sword. Both are vitally needed.

2) Most impressive (so far) is the sixth essay. For me, it was like adding bluing to a wash-load of 60 years of history. Suddenly everything seems more clear and understandable.

I am deeply humbled and deeply impressed by both of you. Worship

Thank you both, and thanks to Kris Millegan for his efforts.

It sets a standard for the rest of us.

Ed,

As always, your kindness is deeply appreciated.

Let me be clear: A Certain Arrogance is George Michael's work. Without a hint of false modesty I tell you that my Introduction is of minor account; its absence would not detract in the slightest from the larger offering.

I echo your appreciation of Kris Milligan and his good offices.

And once again I publicly thank David Guyatt for directing me to Kris and Trine Day.

David, if you still read this humble blog, please know that I think of you always with gratitude and respect.

If all will take note: Ed is describing the Trine Day ediction of ACA. The original, self-published Xlibris iteration is lengthier in terms of both its text and references. Alas, it is horrendously edited -- at points even butchered.

For those in a position to do so, buy both. If one must suffice, go unhesitatingly to Trine Day.

George Michael is -- not was, but is -- a miracle.

With gratitude and affection,

Charles

Charles

I am advised by Amazon that the TrineDay edition with your introduction arrives this week.

Climbing the rope trick of the event, event promoters and managers and roustabouts, I sense this will provide the best footing yet.

It was dawning on me that there was a circus Dulles Brothers running the world nicely, thank you, interrupted briefly by that Kennedy.

I enjoyed Robert Gates advising the inquiring Patrick Leahy that, "Senator, governments lie to each other; that's how business gets done."

I look forward to the continuing exposition by George Michael Evica and you in the high calling of explaining to the people "how business gets done."

To borrow a phrase from a movie, "That is what I understood."

And I will buy the Xlibris edition. The extra notations will be interesting.

The book has a prominent place on my book shelf of JFK literature!!! A very good and important book - on aspects and with viewpoints that are unique in the literature.

CD what did you redo with the intro? Is it possible you could put it on here. Nothing beats a good eulogy. Genuinely fascinating subject matter in this one from GME!

I just got my copy and will write a review as soon as catch up.

It's a very important and overlooked book that details some of the most significant but ignored areas, some of which still need to be researched further.
