New/Old News RE: McCain - David Teacher - 18-01-2009
Thanks for the info, Linda, much that was new to me. By the way, the grandfather was John "Slew" Sidney McCain and apparently a pioneer in naval aviation. His son ("Jack") does seem to have been quite "internationalist" although I would guess that the current McCain went down mostly because he wasn't red-meat enough for the mass of the Republican party - his earlier stand on torture and on Bush's mess in Iraq would already have been quite enough to dishearten your average pro-Bushite.
