I like his stance on the legalization of drugs, shutting down the empire and
bringing US troops home. My concern though is he claims to be a libertarian. If he is what he claims to be, he may try to shut down most government programs which would only benefit the wealthy, and further impoverish the already struggling middle class and poor. Imagine that, no more medicare, all schools privatized, social security privatized. Does this stress you out, if it does you can take some drugs without having to worry about going to one of Cheney's privatized prisons.

Great RP speech and I too love his stance on drugs, foreign policy, the Fed BUT yes he'd get rid of just about every social program that exists.
That is the problem I had in supporting him.

That said my co-founders here know that voting is a waste of time, that it's all a myth. I share those views yet I presist in voting, telling myself that perhaps one of these guys MAY make a difference. I got bit in '72 with George McGovern, for whom I toured the US as a city coordinator in his run for the presidency. I will never believe that George would have turned into one of THOSE pols. He was the real deal.
