The DPF has suffered a great loss with the 'withdrawal' of David Guyatt - I am greatly saddened. - Peter Presland - 25-02-2011 Trowbridge You are behaving like the proverbial 'bull in a china shop'. Please think about that analogy. The burden of David Guyatt's criticism of your posts and the articles referenced was that you are apt to present unqualified opinion as fact. Your last post here is a good example of that criticism: Trowbridge H. Ford Wrote:...... it is about David Guyatt leaving - what I think I helped precipitate by challenging his absurd claims that I belonged to SMOM Reference post #47 here and post #8 here David NEVER claimed you were a member of SMOM at all, let alone in the plural as the above quote states, and your bald statement that he did, in spite of his clarification of what he DID say, says much about your reading comprehension. The rest of your accusations against his comments on your stuff are similarly hyperbolic As for your thinking that you "helped precipitate" anything of the kind; if David's crticisms have merit (and the evidence above says they have) then that has probably solidified as revealed truth with you by now. Suffice to say it had nothing whatever to do with his departure. Coming from someone who counts David Guyat as a good friend, you can take that to the bank, though I really don't expect you to. The DPF has suffered a great loss with the 'withdrawal' of David Guyatt - I am greatly saddened. - Trowbridge H. Ford - 25-02-2011 Sorry, Peter, but it is you who are the 'bull in the china shop', taking up complaints about David, Drago, Peter and Meredith as a personal affront which you are obliged to answer. I only said that I think that I helped precipitate Guyatt's leaving - what Drago then explained thus about me and Peter: "Read your own god damn posts." Then in the post where Guyatt volunteered my "purposeful muddying of the water", he added after Blix's possible membership in SMOM about me, "On the other hand he might be American SMOM?" And I used "claims" in the plural because Guyatt went on to deny that NSA had an assassination outfit which probably killed Colby and Williams, to claim that I wrote, and advertised in tabloid style that a Yugoslav assassinated Palme - obviously mixing up falsely what happened to Anna Lindh with what happened to the statsminister, and I have written about both. This place is turning out to be worse than The Local - what you urged me to leave to come here to in order to get away from the Sheeple. In 50 posts you have managed personal attacks on every single forum joint-owner plus at least one other long-standing member. We get some pretty belligerent people on here at times but that has to be something of a record. How much longer do you judge it will be allowed to continue? Quote:Then in the post where Guyatt volunteered my "purposeful muddying of the water", he added after Blix's possible membership in SMOM about me, "On the other hand he might be American SMOM?"He volunteered 'suspicions' and he went on to explain them in detail; in spite of which you insist on presenting his words as as a concrete accusation The SMOM reference was totally unconnected to you. He was suggesting Hans Blix might be American rather then Orthodox SMOM - or not SMOM at all. He told you you'd read it wrong in a subsequent post. And STILL you can't see it. THOSE typify what David means by your standards of evidence. The rest of his post offered reasons why your positions on the other matters might be similarly flawed. That's called discussion but you present it as absolute rejection. Here's another one: Quote:.... David Guyatt went on to deny that NSA had an assassination outfit which probably killed Colby and WilliamsAgain NO HE DID NOT. It's a bit like those 'Chinese Whispers' in which, after passing though about 100 iterations from originator to intended recipient, "Send reinforcements, we're going to advance" became "Send three and fourpence, we're going to a dance." except that there are no intermediate steps. VERY frustrating. Quote:This place is turning out to be worse than The Local - what you urged me to leave to come here to in order to get away from the Sheeple. You have a strange understanding of what constitutes urging. As for your opinion of this place, nobody is FORCING you to stay Trowbridge. Are you sure about that, Peter? Orders, after all, are orders. The DPF has suffered a great loss with the 'withdrawal' of David Guyatt - I am greatly saddened. - Ed Jewett - 09-03-2011 Having been absent recently due to sinister forces (lol), I have no real understanding or insight into why David Guyatt is now not here. I will say, however, that he is missed by me. I look forward to communicating with him regularly, even if by remote viewing and other parapsychological media. His absence is a loss to DPF, and to me personally. His absence is a loss to DPF, and to me personally. It is an inestimable and tragic loss both for his insights and his humor. Those [you know who you are - and by the way, I do NOT] who had crossed words or disagreements with David over certain 'things' ....should, IMO, ask/get/implore/whatever to get him back, and whatever your differences, amend/negotiate those differences, so that he is again a part of this team! |
