That's amazing, thanks very much. I do think he is credible as why would he lie, being black he obviously wasn't part of the 'clique' therefore is an independent observer in my opinion.

Believe its Abraham Bolden, first African American Secret Service guy.

Bolden found a lot of trouble. You'll have to decide for yourself if he's credible or not.

I completely believe him. I saw him speak in Dallas a few years ago and there was not a dry eye in the room. His talk was so sincere and moving he got a standing O.

I remembered this other reference to the route choice: According to Roger Stone in "Man Who Killed Kennedy," John Connally was the guy who insisted on the Trade Mart as the luncheon destination (causing a stink about it). Connally to JFK advance man Jerry Bruno: "Either we select the stops and run the trips, or the President can stay home." Cliff Carter (LBJ aide) also advocated the Trade Mart.

Stone: "The Secret Service favored the Women's Building for security reasons, and JFK staff preferred it for political reasons."

The Trade Mart destination forced the motorcade route through Dealy Plaza at low speed. When Chief Curry was conducting a 11/18 "trial run" of the motorcade route for SS Sorrells and Lawson, he turned LEFT on Houston Street (instead of right) and just pointed out the Stemmons Freeway to the two SS guys, who therefore had not actually driven through the last leg of the motorcade route.

Thats what I had heard that they didn't go as far as Dealey Plaza, obviously incriminating Curry too though most of the senior members of Dallas police blatantly were implicated.

I am actually reading the Man Who Killed Kennedy right now but haven't got to that part yet. One thing about Connolly though, every picture and piece of footage you see of him he looks so blatantly like a guy very concerned not relaxed at all he is worried and nervous and clearly knows bullets are about to be flying very close to him, the complete opposite of how he should look, a motorcade in his home state with the President should have been one of the proudest days of his life.

Also LBJ fought hard to have Connolly taken out of the car and Yarborough put in instead, obviously he failed, which I think supports that theory. I can just imagine the conversation between LBJ and Connolly when he told him he couldn't move him, 'don't worry they're professionals its a turkey shoot you'll be fine the shooters are rear and right can't miss' etc, amazing stuff. I also think his stetson might have been a way of identifying him as the one not to be shot, though I don't know if he always had that on such trips.

"My God! They're going to kill us all!" whereas I might be inclined to say "Holy sh*t! What the f*ck was that??!!"

Yes, he did look a wee bit sour faced that day, didn't he.

Exactly, as in 'they're only supposed to kill him' thats what that says. We were in an earthquake once in LA in 1994, it woke us up, and those were my Dad's first words literally, its the natural thing to say when something unexpected happens.

He's a Texan, so he's got a Stetson. I got one too. (Back in the day, every man had one.) It's only polite to wear them outdoors. You can't wear a cowboy hat in a good breeze either, unless you take the quite unmanly step of adding a chin strap (sorry, Aussies).

A Stetson in your lap is a bad signal for a gunman in the back.

Has Lifton Cracked The Case? - Malcolm John - 04-12-2014

Why is that a bad signal I don't understand what you mean

I can't believe Lifton would come out in public and say the Paines were not part of any conspiracy.

Unbelievable.

The Paines were central to the conspiracy and were Oswald and Marina's CIA safehouse handlers.
