Speculation: 'Flight 93' vs. Flight 93 was designed to be used as a mythmaking event in which the hero said the memorable words, "Let's roll" and fought the evil-doers all the way to their convenient vaporization, thus providing further motivation to go to war. The actual Flight 93 suffered another fate.
As a narrative device this makes a lot of sense.

The "phone calls" happening between 9:30 and 10:00 would support that theory. They had to give the public some heroes that day; somebody had to "fight back" so the public didn't feel completely helpless.

This is a fairly interesting docu - http://www.channel5.com/shows/conspiracy-the-missing-evidence/episodes/twin-towers-the-missing-evidence - which takes into account the aluminium of the aircraft airframes in the conflagrations - the 'sparking' material flowing from the impact locations; seems there may have been a chemical reaction that hasn't been included in the investigative scenarios before - molten aluminium at very high temperature, combining with pooled water from the sprinkler system.
