They still have the jurisdiction over the murders of both JFK and Ruby. Seems likely that some of the folks that participated in the cover up, did so in Dallas, so might be investigated for making false reports, tampering with evidence, etc.

Dallas DA won't touch this. He was gung ho when he was first elected. Someone scared him in my opinion. I talked with him briefly several years ago when he presented here at an Innocence CLE. He looked like he was about to faint when I told him why I was there.

Here, is the typical best [sic] scenario....someone get elected and actually thinks to 'do the right thing'....but somewhere along the line [rather early, I'd say] has read the 'riot act' and frightened them away for fear of their career, family, and their their own life. IMO, even more so than in the past, challenging the official mythology of important covert operations now is dangerous. If one is lucky, you will only loose your position/status in society - if you are not so lucky, you'll have an 'accident' or 'suicide' [though these techniques were used in the past, as well]. One still hopes for people of Garrison's bravery and stature - but I think we can't count on them any more, as they are few[er] than in the past - and never were numerous - for many reasons. We can only count on group action of those who can see the wrongs and want to right them. IMHO. Waiting for a leader or focal point is self-defeating and letting those of us who know off the hook. Knowledge implies responsibility. All of us who know, must act, responsibly...but ACT! We each will choose different methods and levels of commitment and danger through which to act - but ACT!!! Our group inaction has led us to where we now are...at the cliff edge of a total police state and lock-down of democracy; endless wars and false-flag operations; official lies and secrecy and spying on everyone all the time; impoverishment [financially and educationally/intellectually] of most of the People; degradation of the Environment in all ways possible. The truth of the important covert/false-flag operations and assassinations have always IMO provided the necessary keys to unlocking the average closed or confused minds of our fellow citizens. Waiting for 'elected officials' is a bad bet. Few really aware persons care to run or are allowed to succeed to being elected - and if they are are thwarted in doing much of anything meaningful via dirty tricks - as was Garrison.

I think the system has 'learned' and never will allow another 'Kennedy', 'King', 'Garrison', and the list is much longer.... Its up to all of us who IMHO need to not only be 'researchers' or 'interested followers' but activists in some way....there are many ways one can be active and spread the truth and expose the lies and treachery.

If that new Jim Garrison were going to appear he would have by now. The reason he hasn't is because those filters are very effectively in place. I'm not sure most Americans realize had badly America is controlled by CIA and those forces backing them. We have gone from Mockingbird to pterodactyl.

Groden and Livingstone in their book "High Treason" claim that the original FBI report about the bag ("Dallas 98-43" which they supposedly have a copy) said that the bag in evidence "did not" match the materials available from the TSBD, but that the report was subsequently altered to remove the word "not."

Great follow through on that omission of "not" and its meaning by the authorities eh?

Somehow I got these bag photos more or less side by side. You've seen the one to the left - now I'm adding the one to the right. What happened between these two
photos. Did they spin it and fold it in half? Is that duct tape on the bag? What is it for?

I know the bag below was sprayed with ninhydrin or something like to try to pick up prints, but it's hard to imagine it's the same bag. I don't see that duct tape-like piece.

It's two different sides of the same bag.

DiEugenio covered the problems with the bag. Not only was it not the same material from the wrapping machine at the Depository but there was another paper bag hung up in the Dallas mail addressed to Oswald at the Paines.

Seems true enough, on all counts. The bag in the mail is a great mystery. But does anyone know what happened to the duct-tape-like portion of the bag? I don't see it on either side of the bag in evidence today.

I believe that the lighter rectangle, in the lower picture, running lengthwise along the edge of the material used to make this bag is the remnants of whatever tape was used to make the bag. The FBI might have removed the actual tape to "check it for fingerprints" or perhaps in connection with their testing the bag to look for fingerprints.

I don't recall anything about "duct tape" specifically.
