More Than 20 Navy SEALS From the Unit that Killed Osama bin Laden' Die in Helicopter Crash

August 6th, 2011
Via: MSNBC:

A NATO helicopter crash in Afghanistan on Saturday killing 31 U.S. special-forces troops, including more than 20 Navy SEALS from the unit that killed Osama bin Laden, and 7 Afghan commandos.
It was the deadliest single combat incident for American troops in 10 years of war, according to an American official.
The operators from SEAL Team Six were flown by a crew of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regimen, according to U.S. officials who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because families are still being notified of the loss of their loved ones.
One source said the team was thought to include 22 SEALs, three Air Force air controllers, seven Afghan Army troops, a dog and his handler, and a civilian interpreter, plus the helicopter crew.
The sources thought this was the largest single loss of life ever for SEAL Team Six, known as the Naval Special Warfare Development Group.

Was just going to post this. Now there are no more of the inconvenient witnesses to say what did or did not happen to OBL.

Pakistan TV Report Contradicts US Claim of Bin Laden's Death

By Paul Craig Roberts

August 06, 2011 "Information Clearing House" -- In my recent article, "Creating Evidence Where There Is None," about the alleged killing of Osama bin Laden by a commando team of US Seals in Abbottabad, Pakistan, I provided a link to a Pakistani National TV interview with Muhammad Bashir, who lives next door to the alleged "compound" of Osama bin Laden. I described the story that Bashir gave of the "attack" and its enormous difference from the one told by the US government. In Bashair's account, every member of the landing party and anyone brought from the house died when the helicopter exploded on lift-off. I wrote that a qualified person could easily provide a translation of the interview, but that no American print or TV news organization had investigated Bashir's account.

An attorney with a British Master of Laws degree in international law and diplomacy, who was born in Pakistan, provided the translation below. He writes: "I have no problem with being identified as the translator, but would prefer to remain anonymous."

The translator provides these definitions and clarifications:

In re: posts #359 and 360 in which I posted a link from Cryptome [ Getting Access to the Secrets of the Osama Bin Laden Kill: http://cryptome.org/0005/schmidle/schmidle-access.htm ] and Dr. Fetzer questioned the inference...

Here we have more (the article itself hinted at this) on this fellow Schmidle

Funding Nicholas Schmidle

Financial sponsors of Nicholas Schmidle, Institute of Current World Affairs (ICWA -- founded in 1932) and New America Foundation (NAF -- founded in 1998), both DC-based, are among the dozens, perhaps hudnreds, of non-profits involved in international and domestic affairs who fund scholars, researchers, journalists and writers to travel and report.

Schmidle is an interesting person. He did exceptional reporting from Pakistan while being funded by ICWA, visited some of the most dangerous areas of the country, and was booted by Pakistan in early 2008 for unexplained reasons...."

Navy SEAL Team 6 members and others killed in Afghanistan chopper crash.

"U.S. officials say they believe that none of those who died in the crash participated in the bin Laden raid but were from the same unit that carried out the bin Laden mission." Either way, the SEALS would have known about the hoax Bin Laden assassination -- another Hollywood drama brought to the world by Obama's spinners of fiction. The SEALS were safer in Abbotabad on their staged mission than they are in fending off the CIA hit teams that will eliminate all of them until there are no more witnesses left.

Cleaning house.

Like the Mull of Kintyre Chinook crash in which much of the British intelligence hierarchy in Northern Ireland - particularly MI5, RUC Special Branch and British military intelligence, died,

Interesting. Thanks for the retrospective for those of us on this side of the pond.

Luvit. Please share this kind of dry English wit as often as possible; we are starving here in the States for a bit of sanity.
