Just out of curiosity....

Forum Members: What do you think was the biggest State Secret of the JFK Assassination?
. . . . .

I think the Biggest Secret was the True Biography of "Lee Harvey Oswald."

If anyone disagrees, please post here, and let's talk.

Jim,

Yes, you are absolutely correct! The refrain of the past few months has once again been to release those government files that have been sealed for so long. If unsealed, the files would pertain primarily to the biography of Oswald. If disclosed to the public, much of the "new" information would help uncover the truth about a life heretofore presented to us by forgery. Much of the new material would be utterly mundane, such as tax and school records. If revealed, the files would help resolve the issues debated in the hundreds of posts that comprise this thread. The ARRB did an outstanding job in getting the truth of the JFK autopsy before the public. Unfortunately, it did not nearly address the Oswald story as successfully.

What is the list of non-released documents?

John Armstrong's Harvey and Lee - James Norwood - 24-12-2013

Magda,

The list of missing documents starts with Oswald's birth certificate and ends with the contents of his multiple wallets confiscated on the weekend of the assassination. Then, we need almost everything in between, spanning 1939-1963, that concerns government files related to Lee Harvey Oswald. One key file on the list should be the Joannides materials, which would help to explain exactly how Oswald was set up as the patsy in the summer of 1963. Many of these materials are undoubtedly destroyed.

The joannides materials likely point to his and CIA's role in both JFK's and RFK's assassinations - so I don't expect it to be released anytime soon. I just 'love' the multiple wallets of 'Oswald'. All guys know we have several :p just as some women have several pocketbooks. I've never met a man with more than one active wallet [with things in it]...and, of course, these all were claimed to be his 'active' - right out of his back pocket wallet. Impossible!...as was almost everything that went on in Dallas. As Armstrong has amply pointed out, some of this 'impossibility' [at least as officially presented'] went on well before the events of Dallas. While it is certainly possible there was only one 'Oswald Project', I wonder aloud if there hadn't been other undiscovered paired persons for use in CIA or other intel intrigues....or just to have on hand if needed.

I wouldn't expect anything really incriminating to have been written down in the first place, and if it was those documents were probably kept in separate (private) filing systems where they will never be subject to FOIA suits.

A second issue, almost as important as all the missing documents, surely involves all the forged documents in this case. The most famous scandal might involve how a Minox "spy" camera on an evidence list became a Minox light meter on a subsequent inventory, but there are many other examples.

A dozen years ago or so, I sent blow-ups of three different W-2 forms from "Oswald's" so-called pre-Marine employment to IBM archivist Dawn Stanford. At Armstrong's suggestion, I carefully blacked out "Oswald's" name on the form because, as JA often says, things get weird when people realize research is about LHO. Anyway, Dawn was an expert in typography and had, by her own estimation, many thousands of samples of current and historic fonts.

During a telephone interview, she said that the type font on the three different W-2 forms, supposedly from three different employers, appeared to be identical, an unusual font that she could not locate in her extensive collection. I asked her if she thought the forms were typed on the same machine, and she answered, "Yes, that's what I thought, too."

What are the chances of that happening in real life?

Ooh... and I almost forgot one of the most obviously forged documents of all... the Money Order for a certain Italian carbine that was never deposited or cashed by Kleins Sporting Goods: http://harveyandlee.net/MoneyOrder.html .

Which takes Harvey (Hidel) out of the picture re. purchasing a rifle. All of the evidence linking Harvey to the assassination of either JFK or Tippit was faked. John's paper on Tippit that I presented at COPA was definitive for me.
What made it especially enticing is that the Tippit shooting was an area on which I had done almost zero research. JA absolutely nailed it for me.
I agree that this particular state secret opens up a HUGE can of worms. When I have attempted to tell people about two ossies and two moms people find it too incredible.
Truth is always stranger than fiction.

It's so great that you were able to represent John at COPA for the Fiftieth! Agree totally that there is absolutely nothing that stands up to scrutiny to connect the Russian-speaking Oswald to either murder that day. Evidence linking the Seaport Traders hand gun to "Oswald" is a load of manure too.

Introducing Two Oswalds to the uninitiated is a heavy load indeed! Sometimes I prefer to talk about a CIA "Oswald Project" first, and the two guys second. Have a Merry Christmas!
