Yes, it is shocking what happened to you and Jim at the EF. I'm not cognisant about the ins and outs of what went down as I don't go to the EF to read. I do know it had some thing to do with Hank Albarelli. I really like Hank personally. And do think he is a good author. I do wish people could be more collaborative in this area. Build on each others works to find answers. Not attack personally or take positive constructive criticism personally. But things were never going to end well at the EF as the EF is what it is. From my own experience no one can expect fair treatment there regardless of particulars. It seems more a commercial enterprise where threats to the bottom line are terminated with alacrity.

EF has a long history of things like this. I had my account terminated before I could even defend myself against false claims [allegedly happening outside of the EF no less] and removed as a moderator at the same instant. Then within hours all 5000 of so of my posts were deleted forever.
Speaking of RCD, who really was brilliant, does anyone know why he requested and obtained permission for the covering on his face. All I remember is Simpson once telling me [back when he and I were friends and in regular contact] that Dunne had 'good reason and approved reason' to hide his face...without the specifics. As it may be a delicate matter for the internet, if anyone knows, kindly PM me as to what you know. Just curious. He was brilliant in his analyses and in his writing style! Most of the better people at EF have left out of disgust or been banned. IMO.
Peter, do you accept that Jim DiEugenio was abused specifically by John Simkin ....... suddenly banned with none of the outlined and expected steps of discipline, and with no
prior warning or hearing (as was I....) by Simkin, unilaterally, and in DiEugenio's case, his posts deleted unilaterally by Simkin, while you were treated quite a bit differently?
My point is that I would have appreciated being afforded the opportunities afforded to you by Simkin, and the support he gave you, as DiEugenio probably also would have. I've
read your description of what happened, leading to the deletion of your posts and your ouster, and although this post I expect will earn me no favors here, I have to tell you I
think you received a "fair shake" compared to the abuse experienced by DiEugnio, EXCEPT FOR WALKER'S UNILATERAL DELETION OF YOUR POSTS.
If you have an interest, I will post support for my take on this, and I assure you I am motivated only in reaction to the many times you've described, and I've read your description
of what happened to you, and also by the striking differences I perceive in the way you were separated from the EF, compared to the way Jim DiEugenio was. I'm saying I believe you
had many options "near the end," options afforded to neither Jim or I. I agree completely that Andy Walker committed a crime against you by deleting your posts, and as in the deletion of DiEugenio's posts, every post of every other EF member in every thread either you or Jim started, were also deleted.
You brought this up, Peter, and I'm sorry to be responding to you, here. Walker's crime against you, aside, and I am no friend or supporter of EF, I believe I can support my take that
you were afforded options you did not take advantage of, and you had an opportunity to mitigate your situation and remain at the EF. DiEugenio was not, nor was I.

Again, Peter, if you are not apoplectic after reading my reaction to your claims, there is much more I can post related to the contrast in our experiences leading to the end of our
respective tenures on the EF. If you can separate what Walker did to you from the rest of the events leading to your exit from the EF, I believe it is clear you were afforded the opportunites to effect a different outcome, and ironically, your description of your separation from the EF is much closer to what actually happened to Jim Di and I, and your experience, aside from the unilateral abuse by Walker, was an experience Jim Di and I could only wish for, in comparison.
I don't know the details of your or Jim's exit stage right, only that it happened as to many others. In my case, I was both a moderator of long standing and had been privately close and in regular email contact with Simkin until just before the death of his wife. He and I traded secrets about JFK and other black ops [and who knew what about those things] we wouldn't for one reason or another post on the Forum. When his wife died, he was gone - and to some extent never returned the same man. Before that there were, however, many problems with moderation, moderators who were horribly biased. Many good people have passed through the Tar Pit, but I repeat, most of the best have left in disgust or been summarily removed. The 'vote' doesn't make a difference. There was no way I was going to come out unscathed and the vote process was not in the rules and Simkin had an override vote should it go the wrong way. I was set up by Walker who loathed my political views. It is not a free speech/thought/word site and yes it depends on advertising - or did. The list of those removed or who stomped away is long. It is amazing a few good people still bother to post there, as it is fruitless in the end. Having had all of my post removed was the worst of it. That is just to hurt and censor at the same time. The site has been hacked many times [so we are told anyway] and all the old material is gone due to it [we are told]. The situation there is hopeless, it can not be reformed or saved. IMO. Censoring the posts of those who have labored there is just beyond the pale.

WOW, that thread with Carroll attacking both Mike and RCD was really something. He's attacked me too, so I feel I'm in good company. He never missed an opportunity to bash Garrison, which for me is a hallmark of an agent.
Jim: John called me yesterday to discuss this and other matters and when I checked EF the entire Harvey and Lee thread was just gone. The shorter one begun by Parker was still there, in a new "JFK Deep Politics" section. WTH? Telling that an entire thread would be disappeared there. Guess it's too threatening. Great new stuff coming from JA. Has me wishing my dear friend J Harrison was still alive as he was a reserve officer in Dallas that day and knew all the cops. Boy do I have questions for him on one cop in particular. Oh well.
He asked me who owns EF but I have no clue. I can only guess it's those who are paying to run it.

Sorry Tom: I was told it was gone and I looked this morning for a few pages then had to leave for court. It was locked on 9/10 when I was in a long 15 hour work day jury trial and was not looking at forums. I stand corrected. But it should not have been locked. There is new research being done on this issue.
As to the rest of your post I have no clue what you are talking about...

Ya just emptied a few...sorry...I really have to find the time to go through all the PM's and delete. After I make it through this too busy month. The consequence of taking a long vacation in August, to PA to see my daughter and our granddaughters, then ten days seeing old friends in MA. An EF admin "locked" the Harvey and Lee thread so that no additional posts could be made to it, effectively guaranteeing it will slide into near oblivion. No surprise that you didn't see it. It wouldn't surprise me if that thread completely disappears in the near future so that Google searches won't be able to resurrect it. I made certain it would stay as dangerous to the status quo as icebergs in the path of the Titanic by posting numerous, lengthy excerpts directly from John's book in it.
Recently, I suggested a new write-up that John liked and we'll be posting it on the website in the next few weeks. I'm assisting him with it now, and, oddly enough, the hardest part of the job involves defending a WCR conclusion that has fallen on hard times among researchers in recent days. Kind of funny, really, but the new write-up should be a powerful statement about assassination day activities.

Wow DJ. Which "minion" posted that? Sounds like it was intended to get that thread locked. What a bunch of ill- intentioned people. This forum calls itself "Re-Open the Kennedy Case" but spend a bit of time there to see what they are actually doing to accomplishing this alleged goal. I have never seen a forum on this case that has an entire sub forum devoted to bashing and name calling-vile in many instances- members of other forums. Makes you wonder what their agenda really is.
Great stuff DJ and Jim. And the new stuff JA is working on will put to bed-finally-the bus issue. Onward.
