In Latin America, the rescued SS set up smuggling routes for all sorts of illicit things, including the stockpile of SS morphine.

But that is probably more information than is required - although the above operational name wouldn't have been chosen by chance.

The much touted Operation Sunrise was mostly a hoax. It, at best, it saved fighting [only in Italy] for two weeks - not really much to brag about. It was for other purposes, IMO, including the more formal [if secret] OSS [later CIA] - Nazi connections of persons and sub-organizations - as well as deals between them for all sorts of things.....but that is a matter for another thread.

Good stuff. This is exactly the kind of info I was hoping for. I'd be interested to see if there is still a working beacon system which allows safe passage into the US, without being disturbed by customs. Considering CIA planes are following that exact route, from Andros to West Palm Beach, and considering the infrastructure at AUTEC, it seems plausible that the Watchtower route could still be active.

When talking and considering Iran-Contra, one must keep in mind, IMHO, that it was much more than just illegal guns for illegal drugs - it was also the early stages of finalizing COG - first fully implemented on 9-11 (as far as we know), but was then called Rex-84 and being worked on by North and others. It was a window into the parallel/secret governance structure - the one that REALLY calls the shots (often literally)!~
