Right you are, David. I can't find them, either. I have, however, found many immediate post-crash photos (in one of which Dr. Maillez, allegedly one of the very first individuals to reach the scene, is looking into back seat of the limo through through the open, right rear passenger side door.
(I'd post it, but when I try to add photos I'm informed that to do so would "exceed my attachment quote.")
By the way, in 2008 the MB S280 death car was going to be put up for sale by its owner, Etoile Limousines. See

If I may extend my doppelganger gambit analysis from Dealey Plaza to the Pont Alma tunnel, I suggest that two MB sedans -- or at least two radically different physical states for the same car, were utilized. And to the best of my knowledge I alone have argued for a second or decoy MB being driven at breakneck speed and followed by faux paparazzi along the same route and in advance of Diana's automobile.

AN SAS soldier's claims that the elite regiment *murdered Princess Diana are "utterly convincing."
The former sniper's estranged wife has informed Scotland Yard she is *completely sure he is telling the truth.Her total belief in Soldier N emerged as she was interviewed at length at a secret location.She told Yard detectives how the veteran soldier had spoken about the involvement of an SAS hit squad in the car crash that killed Diana and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed on several occasions.Significantly, she said that the sergeant's *allegations came while they were on good terms and before their marriage had hit the rocks.
One source said: "This was not said to scare or threaten her. It came out when there was no *marital strife and when they were still friends.
"She was utterly convinced he was telling the truth when he said the SAS was involved in Diana and Dodi Fayed's deaths."
Soldier N apparently claimed Diana and Dodi's driver Henri Paul were blinded by an intense flash of light moments before he lost control of their *Mercedes. The claim appears to support testimony from an ex-spy at the inquest into Diana and Dodi's death.
The former MI6 agent told the hearing that he was aware of a colleague's proposal to kill Serbian leader *Slobodan Milosevic by using a strobe light in a tunnel to distract his driver, causing a crash.
And he revealed the existence of a shadowy unit within the SAS known as The Increment which comprises troops from the SAS and SBS for the purposes of carrying out lethal operations on behalf of MI6.
Diana, Dodi and driver Paul died when their car smashed into a pillar in the Pont de L'Alma underpass in Paris in August 1997. A bodyguard, Trevor Rees-Jones, was critically injured but survived.
Scotland Yard officers are now understood to be preparing to interview Soldier N.Allegations that the SAS was involved in the deaths were passed to the Yard in July.They were contained in a seven-page letter written by Soldier N's mother-in-law in September 2011 when her daughter's 13-year marriage had disintegrated amid claims of his bizarre and threatening behaviour.Last week, Detective Chief Inspector Philip Easton and a Yard colleague travelled to a secret location to interview both women.Mr Easton, who worked on the Yard's original inquiry into Diana's death, is believed to have quizzed Soldier N's estranged wife very closely.She is said to have given a "compelling account" of what her husband had told her. She does not think the claims are too fantastic: "Not when you're living with someone who is in the SAS."
The letter was handed to the Yard following the court martial of fellow SAS sniper Danny Nightingale in July.
Soldier N and Sgt Nightingale were arrested in 2011 after police raided the house they shared in Hereford where the crack regiment is based.
Officers found firearms and ammunition illegally held by both men.
Soldier N admitted the offences and last year was sentenced to two years at the Military Corrective Training Centre in Colchester, Essex.
His former friend, Nightingale, also admitted the charges and got 18 months when he first appeared at a military court last year. Following a public campaign, he was released and the conviction quashed.
However, Sgt Nightingale faced a fresh trial at the military court in Bulford, Wiltshire, in July, when he was found guilty and sentenced to two years suspended for 12 months.

On one occasion, he is said to have threatened to make his wife "disappear" and allegedly bragged to his in-laws that he had killed women and children.After the Diana allegations first *surfaced, he was branded a "loose cannon" who could not be believed even though he was a "witness of truth" for the Crown in the Nightingale case.But Army friends have rallied round Soldier N.The decorated special forces veteran has been welcomed into the SAS Association the exclusive club for former members of the elite unit despite his conviction and discharge.

The lawyer acting for Dodi's father Mohamed Al Fayed urged detectives to finally get to the truth and use their powers to "seize documents and make arrests".
Simon McKay was speaking after it emerged a third witness has corroborated claims from a former SAS sniper who apparently boasted how the elite regiment was involved in the deaths of the couple in a Paris underpass.
A small team of Yard detectives has been assessing the allegations as part of a "scoping exercise" since the claims were made public in August.
The SAS man's ex-wife, her mother and stepfather have all given detailed statements to police supporting assassination claims attributed to the sniper known as Soldier N.
But police chiefs have so far refused to launch a proper murder investigation amid fears that the claims will be "swept under the carpet".
A full-scale inquiry would allow the Yard to go to SAS headquarters in Hereford and discover who was serving at the time of the car crash which claimed the lives of Diana, 36, Dodi, 42, and their 41-year-old *chauffeur Henri Paul in August 1997.
Mr McKay said yesterday: "There can be no serious question that the statement attributed to Soldier N was, in fact, made and therefore the necessary legal threshold crossed for a proper investigation to now be launched as opposed to the present scoping exercise' which is a somewhat ambiguous term for the current action being taken by the Metropolitan Police Service.
"A proper investigation will allow the police to use their statutory powers to seize documents and records and make arrests, if appropriate."
The Yard's reluctance to put inquiries on a formal footing has dismayed many legal observers.

Dodi's family has also questioned the decision to appoint Detective Chief Inspector Philip Easton as head of the "scoping exercise" as he was part of Scotland Yard's Operation Paget inquiry which concluded the deaths were a tragic accident. They have urged Yard chiefs to replace him with another detective in the interests of "transparency and fairness".
Earlier this week, Soldier N's stepfather-in-law was interviewed by two officers, including Mr Easton. It is understood he gave a compelling statement which confirmed the account by the ex-wife of Soldier N of how he bragged that SAS soldiers caused the crash.
The claims were originally contained in letters sent to the commanding officer of the SAS and Dyfed-Powys Police in September 2011.
They only emerged after this summer's court martial of SAS sniper Sgt Danny Nightingale where Solder N was a witness. It is understood Soldier N has since denied making the claims.

That would truly be tragic for the Royals and the 'Intelligence Apparat'. I'm as skeptical as I imagine you are that anything resembling a real investigation will take place...for if it did, and if it even found that SAS team[s] were involved...those SAS teams didn't think this up and carry it off without ORDERS from above and how high those went would surely pass through MI5, Downing Street and maybe even...perish the thought....Buckingham Palace!:

I'm more inclined to think those responsible were the "Defence of the Realm" boys rather than the Palace, Pete. But I doubt we'll ever find out via a real police investigation. My guess is despite the EXpress pushing the story it will quietly fade and be forgotten. Too much at stake imo.

Perhaps, but I was thinking of one ex in the 'Palace' that might have had reason......not the Queen! But, yes, she was certainly a threat to the good image of the Realm.....by showing them up for what they really were [good for nothing leeches and warmongers].
