Here is the page of the professors at UC Riverside. http://neuromajor.ucr.edu/faculty.html Interestingly, the portal to the equivalent pages at Univ. We need to find out who were his advisors and/or who was playin' with him both places. I looked into a few who's descriptions looked 'interesting'. Needs follow-up as to from where they get their funds and who they are connected to. I'd not heard about the call....if that is so, we have a BINGO! Sad thing is you and I and a few others here might well believe it - but the society in general will not..... Nevertheless, I say we work this one....the other mass shoot-em-ups were likely done by the same entity....this one seems to be easier to access. They slipped up this time. The ghost of Jolly West, indeed! NB - I too had thought about, but failed to mention, the dog that didn't bark [the emergency door that didn't scream!]. I think we're on a roll here. If so, the coincidence is simply too great! Add the call Phil mentioned and case closed! Quote: Another in the endless mass shootings in USA - this time Denver - Peter Lemkin - 22-07-2012 DENVER - The University of Colorado says shooting suspect James Holmes had a federal grant to study neuroscience. University spokeswoman Jacque Montgomery said Saturday that Holmes was one of six neuroscience students at the school to get National Institutes of Health grant money. She didn't know how much money he got. The NIH says the university decides who gets the grants. Criteria for receiving the grant weren't immediately clear. The university says Holmes enrolled in the program last year and was withdrawing. Montgomery says Holmes didn't indicate why he was withdrawing. ------------------------------------------- By MEAD GRUVER and THOMAS PEIPERT Associated Press AURORA, Colo. (AP) - The shooting suspect accused in a deadly rampage inside a Colorado theater planned the attack with "calculation and deliberation," police said Saturday, receiving deliveries by mail that authorities believe armed him for battle and were used to rig his apartment with dozens of bombs. Meanwhile, new details about 24-year-old James Holmes emerged, including summer jobs the suspect held in Southern California as a camp counselor and as an intern at a prominent research institute. In Aurora, investigators spent hours Saturday removing explosive materials from inside Holmes' suburban Denver apartment a day after police said he opened fire and set off gas canisters in a theater minutes into a premiere of the Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises." The massacre left 12 people dead and 58 injured. His apartment was rigged with jars of liquids, explosives and chemicals that were booby trapped to kill "whoever entered it," Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates said, noting it would have likely been one of his officers. Holmes received several mail deliveries over four months to his home and school and bought thousands rounds of ammunition on the Internet. "He had a high volume of deliveries," Oates said. "We think this explains how he got his hands on the magazine, ammunition," he said, as well as the rigged explosives in his apartment. "What we're seeing here is evidence of some calculation and deliberation," Oates added. Inside the apartment, FBI Special agent James Yacone said bomb technicians neutralized what he called a "hyperbolic mixture" and an improvised explosive device containing an unknown substance. There also were multiple containers of accelerants. "It was an extremely dangerous environment," Yacone said at a news conference, noting that anyone who walked in would have sustained "significant injuries" or been killed. By late afternoon, all hazards have been removed from the Holmes' apartment and residents in surrounding buildings were allowed to return home, police said. The exception was Holmes' apartment building, where authorities were still collecting evidence. Inside the apartment, authorities began covering the windows with black plastic to prevent onlookers from seeing in. Before they did, a man in an ATF T-shirt could be seen measuring a poster on a closet that advertised a DVD called "Soldiers of Misfortune." The poster showed several figures in various positions playing paintball, some wearing masks. About 8 p.m., police left the apartment building carrying a laptop computer and a hard drive. While authorities continued to refuse to discuss a possible motive for one of the deadliest mass shootings in recent U.S. history, details about Holmes' background as a student and would-be scientist trickled out Saturday. Holmes had recently withdrawn from a competitive graduate program in neuroscience at the University of Colorado-Denver, where he was one of six students at the school to get National Institutes of Health grant money. He recently took an intense three-part, oral exam that marks the end of the freshman year of the four-year program there, but university officials would not say if he passed, citing privacy concerns. In a resume posted on Monster.com, Holmes listed himself as an "aspiring scientist" and said he was looking for a job as a laboratory technician. The resume, first obtained by The Press-Enterprise in Riverside, paints a picture of a brilliant young man brimming with potential: He worked as a summer intern at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla in 2006 and mapped the neurons of Zebra finches and studied the flight muscles of hummingbirds while an undergraduate at the University of California, Riverside. He also worked as a cabin counselor to underprivileged children at a summer camp in Los Angeles in 2008. In a statement, Camp Max Straus confirmed Holmes had worked there for eight weeks. The camp provided no other detail about Holmes but said such counselors are generally responsible for the care and guidance of roughly 10 children. Neighbors and former classmates in California said although Holmes was whip-smart, he was a loner who said little and was easily forgotten - until this week. Mary Muscari, a criminology professor at Regis University in Denver who studies mass killings, said she was not surprised Holmes was studying neuroscience and mental disorders. "It could be he was interested in that because he knows there's something different in him," she said. Holmes was in solitary confinement for his protection at a county detention facility Saturday, held without bond on suspicion of multiple counts of first-degree murder. He was set for an initial hearing on Monday and has been appointed a public defender. Among the deceased victims was a 6-year-old girl and a man who died on his 27th birthday and a day before his anniversary. Families grieved and waited at hospitals, which reported at least seven wounded still in critical condition Saturday and others with injuries that likely are permanent. Veronica Moser-Sullivan, 6, had gone to the movies with her mother, who was drifting in and out of consciousness in a hospital intensive care unit, bullets lodged in her throat and a gunshot wound to her abdomen. "Nobody can tell her about it," Annie Dalton said of her niece, Ashley Moser. "She is in critical condition, but all she's asking about is her daughter." Veronica had just started swimming lessons on Tuesday, Dalton said. "She was excited about life as she should be. She's a 6-year-old girl," her great aunt said. Another victim, 27-year-old Matt McQuinn, was killed after diving in front of his girlfriend and her older brother to shield them from the gunfire, said his family's attorney, Rob Scott of Dayton, Ohio. Alex Sullivan had planned a weekend of fun, first ringing in his 27th birthday with friends at the special midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" and then celebrating his first wedding anniversary on Sunday. "He was a very, very good young man," said Sullivan's uncle, Joe Loewenguth. "He always had a smile, always made you laugh. He had a little bit of comic in him." President Barack Obama, who called in his weekly radio address for prayer and reflection on the rampage, was scheduled to travel to Colorado on Sunday to visit with the families of victims. During the attack early Friday, Oates said Holmes used a military-style semi-automatic rifle, a shotgun and a pistol to open fire on the unsuspecting theater-goers. He had bought the weapons at local gun stores within the last two months. He recently purchased 6,000 rounds of ammunition over the Internet, the chief said. Holmes also bought an urban assault vest, two magazine holders and a knife for just over $300 on July 2 from an online supplier of tactical gear for police and military personnel, according to the company. Chad Weinman, CEO of TacticalGear.com, said his company processes thousands of orders each day, and there was nothing unusual in the one that Holmes placed. "Everything Mr. Holmes purchased on July 2 is commercially available," Weinman said, adding he was "appalled" that the material was sold to Holmes before the shooting. The Batman movie, the last in the trilogy starring Christian Bale, opened worldwide Friday with midnight showings in the U.S. "The Dark Knight Rises" earned $30.6 million in Friday morning midnight screenings and according to industry estimates roughly $75 million on that day. That put it on track for a weekend total of around $165 million, which would be the second-highest opening weekend ever, following "The Avengers." The shooting was the worst in the U.S. since the Nov. 5, 2009, attack at Fort Hood, Texas. An Army psychiatrist was charged with killing 13 soldiers and civilians and wounding more than two dozen others. Thanks Magda, that clears that matter up and hints at some of the forces behind [or at least taking advantage of] this matter. Sources tell FOX31 Denver reporter Justin Joseph that a second man is now a person-of-interest in the Aurora theater shooting investigation. We are not disclosing his identity because he has not been charged. Twelve people were killed and 58 injured early Friday when James Egan Holmes allegedly opened fire inside the crowded theater. Neighbors of the person of interest say for the past two days there have been SWAT team and police cars in their alley and unmarked cars in street. "He's been there about a year," said one neighbor. Agents showed up again this morning. "I woke up this morning with cops still here trying to look inside his home. At 5:00 a.m. cops showed-up and asked me about (him)." Sources tell Justin Joseph someone made either a call or a text from the person of interest's phone threatening violence if James Egan Holmes was not released from jail. That call prompted police to issue an alert to find and detain him. Sources also say a picture of Holmes with red hair on an adult website is what Egan looked like when he was arrested. Neighbors recognized him instantly but they say he recently dyed his hair. "I`ve seen him before," said a neighbor to the person of interest. The person of interest's Facebook page shows he has a master's degree in bio-medical science. Anshutz Medical Center confirms he is in their doctorate program, the same program from which Holmes withdrew several months ago. Out of caution police searched their campus Friday, but they won't say what if anything they were looking for or found. As for the person of interest, all law enforcement jurisdictions, local, state and federal, are looking for him. Neighbors say he and his roommate left their home hours before the massacre. They haven't seen him since. Aurora police declined to comment on this report due to the active nature of the investigation. http://kdvr.com/2012/07/21/police-looking-for-second-person-of-interest-in-theater-shooting/ Another in the endless mass shootings in USA - this time Denver - Peter Lemkin - 22-07-2012 An eyewitness to Friday morning's Batman movie shooting spree stated that he saw the shooter take a phone call on his cell, open the theater's emergency door and appear to wave someone over. Twenty minutes later 12 people were dead and nearly 60 wounded. Corbin Date was seated in the second row of the Century 16 theater in Aurora, Colo. when Holmes entered the theater. Date told the press and authorities that he saw the alleged shooter, James Holmes take a seat in the front row near the exit door. Holmes acted as if he received a phone call and went to the emergency door which opened onto the parking lot. Date told police it appeared as if Holmes was waving someone else to the door before he stepped outside. About 20 minutes into the film, a gunman clad head to toe in body armor, heavily armed and wearing a gas mask, burst back in through the emergency door. He tossed an exploding canister which released gas into the theater and then the shooting began. Video: Witness claims second shooter in Aurora spree Date described the shooter as approximately 5'9". Holmes stands 6'3", a full half foot taller. While it is easy to misgauge height under such circumstances, it is a noticeable difference. Another witness, seen in the video at left, stated a second canister was thrown from the opposite side of the theater indicating a potential accomplice as well. This massacre was clearly well-choreographed and planned out. Holmes allegedly left his weapons and tactical gear outside the theater's back door. That seems implausible that something so well planned would be left to the chance that no one would notice this. Moreover, once the back door is closed it cannot be opened from the outside. Only two days prior to the shooting Holmes was casually having drinks and talking sports like a regular guy. Jackie Mitchell, a furniture mover who lives several blocks from the suspect's apartment building in Colorado, told Fox News he had drinks with Holmes at a local bar on Tuesday night, and stated he showed no sign of being distressed or violent." "We just talked about football. He had a backpack and geeky glasses and seemed like a real intelligent guy, and I figured he was one of the college students" When Mitchell saw Holmes' photo after the shooting, "the hair stood up on my back," he said. "I know this guy." The 24-year-old Holmes was working on a doctorate degree in Neuroscience when he began buying weapons and receiving an abundance of package deliveries. This would imply that Holmes had been building to this, either alone or with others, leading up to Friday morning's attack. Holmes rented his apartment only a couple of weeks prior to the shooting, and the level of sophistication with regard to booby-trapping the apartment would have taken hours, even days. This information suggests Holmes was living at an alternate location. Could one man skillfully organize this tragedy, including creating the booby-trapped apartment he left behind? Could one unassuming college student acquire such extensive military grade equipment on his own? Another in the endless mass shootings in USA - this time Denver - Peter Lemkin - 22-07-2012 This follows the 'usual scenario'.....there is the one patsy who will be tried, convicted, vilified and likely killed - and the others who helped; likely planned and set up the patsy [who may have been induced to participate, in part]....it is like Oklahoma. McVeigh was not alone, but died as if he was the only one. Same will happen to Holmes. There were others mentioned as complicit at Ft. Hood, but they were soon made to disappear. The NSA would have the means to know exactly who called Holmes...[and what was said then and in earlier calls] but I'm sure will never tell. Cynical me. We, in the USA [and World] are being 'had' over and over and over again with staged terrorist incidents since at least the 60s that have a pattern. A very ugly pattern. There a small ones, like this and big ones like 911 - IMHO, all of a pattern. Very, very few are 'one offs'....perhaps a few are copy cat...but they are the exception. And those of us who see the patterns and research them are marginalized, demonized and called nuts and conspiracy theorists [and worse]. I openly wonder if there is some connection between the Brievik shooting and this one - they are one year apart minus a few days. Yes, there are differences, but there are also many parallels. Some Pan-World Gladio-like entity is having us all! Another in the endless mass shootings in USA - this time Denver - Peter Lemkin - 22-07-2012 AURORA, CO -- A man who was at the Colorado movie theater where a dozen people were killed this morning, says he saw the gunman. He says he thinks someone deliberately let the gunman inside once the movie started. [/URL] "As I was sitting down to get my seat, I noticed that a person came up to the front row, the front right, sat down, and as credits were going, it looked like he got a phone call. He went out toward the emergency exit doorway, which I thought was unusual to take a phone call. And it seemed like he probably pried it open, or probably did not let it latch all the way. As soon as the movie started, somebody came in, all black, gas mask, armor, and threw a gas can into the audience, and it went off, and then there were gunshots that took place."
