.....and Robert never met either one of them and his mom's life was rather complicated....... are there any known brick salesmen who were amateur genealogists, generally brimming with curiousity, for sake of comparison?

BTW....is it just me, or does Marguerite's nose in her 1972 DL photo image look a tad masculine...... ?

Why not get worked up defending what we can prove, but not when we are defending what we are impressed by?

Mark, it seems the reference to Marguerite's cancer is possibly misinformed. According to this 1967 article, her photo license, expiring in 1972, was issued in 1968....no earlier, no later. Her death certificate indicating a particulalrly
aggressive form of cancer is date in 1981.
