The ONLY people who should be allowed into elected office are comedians!! Sanders as a third-party candidate.....might it work? - Peter Lemkin - 12-07-2016 It was truly painful to hear Sanders endorse the candidacy of Clinton. Much of the 'Sanders Ideas' were also voted down in the [non-binding] Democratic Party Platform...a few were put in in modified form...but again these are non-binding. I'm depressed Sanders didn't go Green. All those who contributed to his campaign and worked for him will now rightly feel abandoned...they were...and they have NO place to go except to vote Green Party. Sanders has fallen on his own sword and his words to 'carry on the fight' are now hollow. Cynicism and fear is the only reasonable reaction to the two main parties [or the One Party with two virtual antipodes]. Sanders as a third-party candidate.....might it work? - Peter Lemkin - 13-07-2016 I hate to say it, but on this issue I agree with D. Trump....... Trump....... It's almost always overlooked in the whole "Democrats and Republicans are the same" meme is that the base of the Democratic Party is anti-Oligarchy. The base of the GOP is not anti-Oligarchy. The corporate wing of the Democrats represent the Globalist Oligarchy which seeks to make the world safe for bankers. While the corporate wing of the Republican Party is also owned by the Globalists, the base of the Republican Party owes it's allegiance largely to the Dominionist Oligarchy -- rich Christianists who want to make the world safe for a return of their Messiah, Jesus Christ. With a Democrat in the White House, enough pressure from the base can on occasion produce needed changes. Gay rights and internet neutrality are two prime examples of the Democratic base forcing change from below. With a Republican in the White House there is no chance for society to advance -- the Oligarchists control everything. When Obama negotiated with Putin for the removal of chemical weapons from Syria and nuke material from Iran, he crippled the War Party ("Democrat" and "Republican" both) plan for the US to fight both sides of a Sunni-Shia civil war. The Bernie Sanders revolution must continue and try to force any Democratic President to follow-through. Just because Hillary Clinton is a "made man" in the Globalist Oligarchy doesn't mean we have to settle for a mentally disturbed narcissist who is wholly owned by Dominionist racists. Sanders as a third-party candidate.....might it work? - Peter Lemkin - 14-07-2016 I certainly was NOT endorsing anyone vote for Frump!...just that on this one point [and a few others such as 911 having been other than the official version] correct. Add to what you say above that with a Republican dominated Congress nothing positive can be done and as they have done, they will let all grind to a halt if there is a Democratic President. You comments above, which I believe are basically true made me wonder: where does Chump stand on religion? He has said little, I believe. Is he also in line with the powerbase behind the Republicans on this too? Sanders as a third-party candidate.....might it work? - Magda Hassan - 14-07-2016 Though Sanders has endorsed Clinton he has not yet conceded either. So there is still more to play out here. I note that the DNC organisers are in a panic because Jill Stein's donations have gone through the roof since Bernie spoke for Hilary. I saw Trump saying that Bernie endorsing Hilary is like Occupy Wall Street endorsing Goldman Sachs. Ouch! Sanders as a third-party candidate.....might it work? - Drew Phipps - 22-07-2016 Google searches for '3rd party candidate 2016' spiked by insane amount during RNC Grant Suneson Jul 22nd 2016 1:15AM http://www.aol.com/article/2016/07/22/google-searches-for-3rd-party-candidate-2016-spiked-by-insane/21436967/ Quote: If the back and forth between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is bumming you out more than it's inspiring you to get out and vote, you're not alone. Google revealed that searches for the phrase "3rd party candidate 2016" have shot up by more than 1,000 percent during the Republican National Convention. That's no surprise when you consider how much Americans aren't on board with the two leading candidates. Trump and Clinton are the two least popular major party nominees in recent memory. |
