This says to me: let's not read the message, lets focus on the envelope it arrived in.
Whatever is published by Wikileaks is regarded by the US establishment as being enemy communications. Julian Assange remains a de facto prisoner in the London embassy of Ecuador ONLY because of US pressure on its ally. This despite the ruling by the UN that his residence there is an "arbitrary detention".
Personally speaking, I do find today's McCarthy era redux - the obsession with the "Russians" that has occupied the US and western media for the past couple of years to be utterly sickening. Propaganda is obnoxious and it is especially obnoxious when it is thrust at you with such obvious intent on a daily basis.
I offer the charade that was House Resolution 758:
"Whereas the Russian Federation has subjected Ukraine to a
campaign of political, economic and military aggression
for the purposes of establishing it dominion over the
country and progressively erasing its independence"
A clearer case of projection I have rarely seen. The resolution continues onwards as it fulminates with lies and misinformation.
Had the opening paragraph substituted the words "United States" in place of "Russian Federation", this statement might bear some semblance to accuracy.
But then the last thing Washington wanted (or wants) is honesty. And the mainstream media are ditto.

With the feckless, spineless Congress we have, who will stand in the way of Donald Trump overstepping his constitutional authority as President? If Congress won't remove him from office, what patriot will step up and do that if, if, he oversteps his mandate as president, his constitutional-granted authority, I should say, as president.
If he oversteps that, how do we get him out of office? And I don't think there is a legal means available. I think it will be a terrible, terrible position the American people will be in to get Trump out of office because you won't be able to do it through Congress.
BECK: I would agree with you on that and I don't think you actually have the voices we've been talking about and we've been talking about this off-air for a while. I think the voices like ours go away. I don't think we are allowed especially if things, and I believe the economy is going to go to crap, even if Jesus was in office. It's going to naturally reset. Trump Campaign chairman Paul Manafort has done multimillion-dollar business deals with pro-Russian oligarchs and was a longtime adviser to the Russia-aligned Ukrainian president whose 2014 ouster triggered Russia's intervention in Ukraine. An adviser who helped run Trump's efforts in the New York primary, Michael Caputo, lived in Russia in the 1990s, and also had a contract for several months in 2000 with the Russian conglomerate Gazprom Media to improve Putin's image in the United States. Carter Page, also a Trump foreign policy adviser, once ran the Moscow office of Merrill Lynch, including advising the Russian energy giant Gazprom, according to his biography posted on his employer's website.
Now, what I heard this morning (on NPR radio) is not in the above article, and so I have no MSM confirmation, but it was said this morning that none of the major New York banks wanted to loan Trump money when he took over his father's company (1974), so he had to borrow money from Russians. By 1990, Trump was somewhere between 5 billion and 8 billion in debt, and got bailed out by a conglomeration of 70 (?) banks, a list of which might prove instructive, (and so might a list of his creditors at that time) but I don't have it.
Casinos have also traditionally been a center for money laundering operations by organized crime, so there is also that. Between 1991 and 2003, organized crime garnered control over the choicest 10% of the Russian economy. Money laundering is always the backbone of organized crime.

Okay Cliff, I'll bite. But please explain further what you mean "it's Putin?" Do you mean the US neocons will do anything to regime change him because they consider him the real problem - and that without him Russia would become adequately Yeltsinized again and compliant to US requirements?
