Dave Brubeck has Returned to the Source - Charles Drago - 05-12-2012 The very first jazz recording I purchased was Time Out, by the Dave Brubeck Quartet. Some ten thousand LPs later, it remains closest to my heart. Go in peace, David. How well I remember your on-stage hug and smile as I introduced you at the Newport Jazz Festival. I've brought many real and so-called jazz superstars to many microphones; none of them have come close to demonstrating your warmth and camaraderie and generosity of spirit. Have fun. Love to Paul. Dave Brubeck has Returned to the Source - Keith Millea - 05-12-2012 How about a 1979 Newport Jazz Fest......... Dave Brubeck has Returned to the Source - Charles Drago - 05-12-2012 Good Lord, I co-produced that festival -- NOT a George Wein event, I must add for the record -- and I totally forgot that Brubeck was on it. Nice find, Keith. Have you found any other clips from what was formally billed as "Newport Jazz '79"? And while I'm imposing on you: How the hell does one go about attaching YouTube videos to DPF threads? THANKS! Dave Brubeck has Returned to the Source - Keith Millea - 05-12-2012 Charles It's pretty simple to add the video: 1-right click on video (shows options) 2-copy video url DPF: 3-click on the icon above that says insert video 4-paste link 5-hit ok (?) lol Check this guys channel out.He might have more. |
