So we have Cameron shamelessly lying to the public about North Korea's missile capabilities and his lackey's are now all popping up on TV telling us how we would be in danger if we didn't have trident.
Nuclear weapons are wholly offensive. There is nothing defensive about a nuclear weapon, their only purpose is to obliterate entire civillian populations and cause as much death and destruction as possible. A missile defense system on your own border is defensive, a nuclear warhead is not.

What a beautiful word "gormless" is. It speaks volumes and I think I'm going to purloin it for the future.
This, of course, demonstrates as clearly as anything can demonstrate, the great weakness of the democratic illusion, when you have a MP, notionally said to be representing the wishes of his/her electorate, actually representing the views of his/her Prime Minister for no better reason than to curry favour and generate personal political advancement.
It's a rotten and broken system purely because once elected MPs do not represent those who elected them.
I would have a system where re-voting takes place every six months automatically.

Gormless is a fine word to describe the tools who would run our lives.
Another fine word is toady.

How about making it a triple.
"Tosser" is also a wonderfully descriptive word, and we could/should use a combination of all three words to describe useless politicians posing a useful humans...
We could then have David Gormless, Prime Minister; George Toady, Chancellor of the Exchequer and Boris Tosser, Mayor of London - and, in future, just change the first name to accommodate new candidates coming in to office.
In a few years I can see the prospect of "Gormless" becoming the popular slang term for PM, "Toady" for the money-changer, and "Tosser" for the mayor.
It even works beautifully retrospectively:
Tony Gormless, Gordon Toady and Ken Tosser.
And further back still:
John Gormless, Norman Toady and since there was no Mayor of London back then, I favour the third title being used thus: Tosser Portillo.
