Just a few minutes ago WLSABC7 here in Chicago had a report by their top investigative reporter Chuck Goudie that dealt with the demolition of the Purple Hotel of Lincolnwood, Illinois, a Cook County suburb just north of the city proper. In January 1983 just after leaving this hotel and still in the parking lot of this (formerly) Pritzker owned hotel, mob lawyer & Teamster Pension Fund overseer Allen Dorfman was shot and killed. Mr Goudy says that this event caused the downfall of the Chicago mob, and as proof he told us the mob kingpins Jacky Cerone, Joey Lombardo and others went to prison and the mob's jewel in Vegas were lost and were sold to non-mob connected hoteliers. During his report Mr. Goudie did not mention, not even in passing, the Henry Crown family's control of the Chicago outfit, even though Crown and Conrad Hilton were named to FBI Director Hoover and U.S. Attorney General Tom Clark as the bankrollers of the Chicago mob by James Ragen, the racing wire czar in 1946. Ragen was killed about three weeks later. In 1983 Henry Crown was still alive and his son Lester was very active, as he is today. Lester Crown and the Pritzer family were major bankrollers of the Obama campaign's since 2003. Until his death a few years ago Lamar Hunt, son of H.L. Hunt who is viewed by many as a key player in the JFK assination, was with Lester Crown the largest stockholders in the NBA Chicaho Bulls. Mr Goudie made his report concerning the after results of the Dorfman hit with a street face.
