Thanks so much, Connie. charlie Documentary about nuclear waste being put on island; and 100,000 years from now. - Peter Lemkin - 04-09-2013 Most low level and some mid-level nuclear waste is being 'sold' to developing [poor] nations - as a way for them to make some money. They don't have the technical nor infrastructural capability of temporary and moderately safe storage [NO ONE yet has the technical know-how for long-term and fully safe storage!] So, many poor African and other developing nations have gotten good money to take toxic waste and nuclear waste to do as they 'please' with...and to 'hell' with the consequences to the people and the environment therein. This is a global shame - by the wealthier nations [and companies] on the poor....who need the money, but can't safely deal with what they are getting money to 'store'. I could site examples, but I'll leave it at this general and horrible level for now.
