Wes Swearingen's book "To Kill a President" worth buying? - Drew Phipps - 30-05-2014 I'm thinking about adding this one to my collection, but 14$ for a paperback? If I recall his work correctly, his thesis is nothing new, "CIA+Mafia+Cuban", but he had a Cuban FBI informant. I'm guessing he doesn't "out" his informant in the book. There was an interview recently, Swearingen said that Felt (who became Deep Throat), on the day of the assasination, refused to dispatch additional FBI agents to Dallas becaue Hoover had already decided what the FBI's position was going to be, and that Hosty had been ordered to deep-six Oswald's entire informant file, not just a single letter as he later claimed. Anyone else read this one, and is it worth it? Felt was not "deep throat". That's just another spin. Bob Woodward is so CIA you can't trust a word. Dawn Wes Swearingen's book "To Kill a President" worth buying? - David Josephs - 30-05-2014 The only value I got from reading that book was the repeated confirmation of FBI black bag work and their ongoing fabrication of required evidence coupled with the alteration or disappearance of unwanted real evidence... Whether his analysis and conclusions and anecdotes are accurate... IDK. But he does seem to jump to conclusions alot Cheers DJ Wes Swearingen's book "To Kill a President" worth buying? - Drew Phipps - 31-05-2014 Thanks. I'll pass on that one then. |
