You have to be a member to see the photo.

I think if we could have seen Pitzer's film that Martin Hay is in denial of it would settle of a lot of issues.

BIG BLOWOUT EXIT WOUND....looks a tad larger than any other photo...but not 100% sure. Interestingly enough, was just reading on the Survivor's Guilt website about the MANY other pieces of JFK's skull recovered from the car and elsewhere...that were not the Harper fragment - so as was reported, a sizable portion of his skull was blown out in the right rear. I don't even think a frangible bullet would do that - it had to be some exotic exploding bullet type round.

As Pat Speer has shown, that is almost surely from the model that Stone had made for his film JFK.

There was actually a discussion of this online at Simkin's forum.

Groden does this a lot in his book. He creates photos which he labels as "edits".

According to H.E. Livingstone, Groden has tampered with the autopsy photos more times than George Lucas has tinkered with the Star Wars films.

Skull fragments in the car, as well as bullet fragments, (forward of JFK) of support the idea of a rear origin shot. Of course, there were skull and brain fragments on the rear boot as well, which implies a front origin shot. Or some more exotic and improbable scenario. As violent as it looks on the Zapruder film, there simply isn't enough damage to be some sort of "grenade" projectile. The most delicate bones in the head surround the eye sockets and nasal cavity, and would be the first to fracture if there was an "explosion" inside the skull. If there is anything at all in the medical evidence we can be reasonably sure of, it is that his face was relatively undamaged. Interestingly, all the full metal jacket/rear entry test gel-filled skull xrays and videos showed significant damage to this area of the head, as the jacketed rounds, and the accompanying shock wave, penetrated far enough forward to impart significant kinetic energy to the delicate facial bones.

I'm thinking we should be looking for mercury-tipped ammo, or something similar.
