In the space of 24 hours last week, two spectacular rescue operations were carried out in southern Germany. Both involved men who had become trapped deep inside cave-like structures, and a large team working to set them free. But if explorer Johann Westhauser is expected to soon tell the world how he got trapped inside Germany's deepest cave, an anonymous exchange student might prefer to keep quiet about the story of how he got into a tight spot.

On Friday afternoon, a young American in TÃ¼bingen had to be rescued by 22 firefighters after getting trapped inside a giant sculpture of a vagina. The ChacÃ¡n-Pi (Making Love) artwork by the Peruvian artist Fernando de la Jara has been outside TÃ¼bingen University's institute for microbiology and virology since 2001 and had previously mainly attracted juvenile sniggers rather than adventurous explorers.
According to De la Jara, the 32-ton sculpture made out of red Veronese marble is meant to signify "the gateway to the world".
Police confirmed that the firefighters turned midwives delivered the student "by hand and without the application of tools".
The mayor of TÃ¼bingen told the SÃ¼ddeutsche Zeitung newspaper that he struggled to imagine how the accident could have happened, "even when considering the most extreme adolescent fantasies, to reward such a masterly achievement with the use of 22 firefighters almost pains my soul."

But speaking with another hat on, why "22" firefighters?

Given the internet and social media, etc. I imagine it will only be a matter of time before the identity of this 'hapless' and 'sexually deprived' US student will be revealed - in name and photo......what then?! Seems to me two firefighters or bystanders with soap and water could have freed him......as to why 22, I can only imagine EVERYone in the firestation wanted to be 'in' on this one, once they heard..... On Friday afternoon, the TÃ¼bingen firefighters received the emergency call: 'A person is trapped in a stone-vulva!' Twenty-two firefighters and a grand total of five vehicles had to rush to his aid to pull him out of the 120,000-euro sculpture, reported SchwÃ¤bisches Tagblatt.The German fire services had to be called out in force to rescue a US exchange student from a giant marble vagina, located in a southwestern university town, after he crawled inside for a dare.

The rescue was successfully undertaken, namely "by hand and without the use of equipment" presumably forceps.

The student had apparently climbed in for a dare, according to local reports. One, likely very unreliable local newspaper declared that: "the young man felt the sculpture of the female vagina to be so attractive that he literally disappeared into it".

However, others suggested it was merely a photo opportunity. "I was there!!! He just wanted to take a funny picture" imgur user Erick Guzman wrote. "The fire department was not really amused, and he was really embarrassed," he added.

Pi-ChacÃ¡n' or ChacÃ¡n-Pi' was designed by internationally acclaimed Germany-based Peruvian artist Fernando de la Jara and was erected at the university some 13 years ago. The name means "making love" in Peruvian Indian. The statue is located in TÃ¼bingen, southwest Germany, at TÃ¼bingen University's Institute for Microbiology.

Some online commenters inevitably facetiously accused the student of statutory rape, while others resorted to more traditional "your mom" jokes.

Possibly just a coincidence, they do sometimes happen. On the other hand the number 22 crops up a great deal more in the media and on the internet then pure chance suggests (in my opinion anyway). I used to record and list it whenever I came across it. Might it be accident that this numbers appears so often? Yes, it might be an accident. On the other hand it might be something else altogether. Who knows for sure.

I would merely mention that the number holds a tremendous amount of occult symbolism, which I won't go into here.
