TORTURE - Harry Dean - 20-12-2014 Tortured, I was caught in the center between President Eisenhower's anti-Castro policies as a member of Castro's Revolutionary Movement. Now,1960 arrested by Cuba's DGI/G-2 Cuba's secret police, being threatened at Havana headquarters with possible execution, a 45 caliber automatic pressed at my temple by an enraged, bearded Militia member and another loudly yelling "we should kill all these American dogs"! That torture remains a mind wound, there was no physical harm involved. I later learned that more than a dozen or more other suspected US. spies had gone from that same torture chamber to the firing squad, before during and after my "interrogation". Yes, I was gathering information for US. Intelligence as an intended US. backed invasion of Cuba was in the works. My lengthy pro-Castro activities being crushed by the unexpected US. foreign-policy change. That suspected-spy arrest and escape from death is forever haunting, though it could be considered a cake-walk when compared with torture methods used by sub-human US. Intelligence degenerates recently exposed by elected representatives of the US. Government! H.J.Dean TORTURE - Drew Phipps - 20-12-2014 How did you manage to secure your release in the early 1960's after such a short period of time? We just heard a story about a (spy) guy getting released after 22 years as a guest in Castro's prison. You were back in the States working as an FBI informant shortly after that. PS was that for Bay of Pigs or a different invasion? According to "Ultimate Sacrifice" there were several planned invasions. To be brief re; a long history of involvement with Castro's network in the US. and US. Intelligence agents. Having Cuban credentials did not matter to DGI/G-2 they naturally especially in 59 and 60 suspected US. Intel was sending non-Cubans and others with or without Revolutionary credentials. Under interrogation, I lied to and convinced them that I was still a trusted member. |
