Vincent Bugliosi Dies at 80 - Joseph McBride - 09-06-2015

  • Vincent Bugliosi's massive tome on the Kennedy assassination is a disgrace, an intellectually dishonest attempt to prop up the thoroughly discredited Warren Report, and a constantly shrill personal attack on any of us who dissent from the official version. His is one of the very worst books on the case, which is saying a lot. Bugliosi got a huge advance, hiring people to ghost parts of the book without adequate credit, and you have to wonder why and how he received that kind of backing. Bugliosi got a huge advance, hiring people to ghost parts of the book without adequate credit, and you have to wonder why and how he received that kind of backing. James Di Eugenio mounted an impressive rebuttal to Bugliosi in his book RECLAIMING PARKLAND: TOM HANKS, VINCENT BUGLIOSI, AND THE KENNEDY ASSASSINATION.

Yes, indeed. I do wonder that.

His only redeeming quality for me was his loathing of Bush

Vincent Bugliosi Dies at 80 - Tom Bowden - 09-06-2015

I had many conversations with him over the years about the RFK assassination and on a personal level, I enjoyed them. However, the JFK book was a sell out. In our personal meetings, he offered convincing arguments for the JFK book but I always felt it was done strictly to make money.

There is a strong likelihood too that Bugliosi's fanciful theory of Helter Skelter is wrong. See what Mae Brussell said about Tex Watson being the true instigator of the murders while acting for Army Intelligence to discredit the hippie movement (if that was the motive, it worked): http://www.maebrussell.com/Transcriptions/16.html

Well, Mae, we promised them last week that you would be doing the Manson trial this week. I guess from the looks of things you're ready.

Ironic, he died the same date as RFK.

And it's also ironic that Manson outlived Bugliosi.

This voice will no longer spread false pro-government propaganda about the 1963 coup.

Like a cosmically bad joke.

There is a new movie being pushed here right now about Manson. I don't think I will bother seeing it as it already looks like it will be some sort of Manson porn. It is called 'Aquarius' and the tag line is Peace Love and Manson. ::vomit::

Great piece. Mae was really something. No-one put the dots together like her.
