I'm reading Leslie Kean's excellent book UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go on the Record. She mentions a 1966 CBS-TV special debunking UFOs, and the fact that the CIA's Robertson Panel "experts" helped CBS prepare the documentary, advising them on the talking points to use ("no evidence") to assure the public that there was nothing to this phenomenon. Viewers will see many of the same tactics and obvious bias that surfaced a year later in CBS' special on the JFK assassination.
