Stephen Bannon Hails the Power of Darkness - David Guyatt - 20-11-2016 Is this guy joshing to shock or is saying that for real? Quote:Darkness is good': Trump's chief strategist explains power' using Darth VaderSource Stephen Bannon Hails the Power of Darkness - Magda Hassan - 20-11-2016 Quote:Darkness is good' Pretty sure he doesn't like black people though... Stephen Bannon Hails the Power of Darkness - Peter Lemkin - 20-11-2016 Yeah, he is as dark as they come.....in the Darth Vader sense, and the 'shadow' in the Jungian sense. The USA is about to enter a new phase and NOT one I look forward to. The whole World will suffer greatly, but I think this is mainly a time to put 'problematic' U.S. citizens on notice or in prison or in an early grave......and for the Oligarchy/Secret Government to REALLY take over all the power and money. Those who do not learn the lessons of history.... Stephen Bannon Hails the Power of Darkness - Magda Hassan - 20-11-2016 Old white men and their impotent dicks. Given the quality of your deep political thinking I'm surprised you have to ask that question. Stephen Bannon Hails the Power of Darkness - Albert Doyle - 20-11-2016 In the same sense as "Greed is good". As with the Bush torture government sometimes the Bilderberg dark siders drop their cover and come right out with their Satanic agenda. Remember, this is all being done by the shining city on the hill example to the world democracy. Dick Cheney: "We went to the dark side"... . Stephen Bannon Hails the Power of Darkness - Mark A. O'Blazney - 21-11-2016 Compare Bannon to Albert Pike, and you see a new star rising, with mercury in retrograde……. this is serious stuff. The two are different, though. Can you tell? A new star "falling" more likely, I would say. Interesting what you say about Mercury in retrograde, Mark. I assume you're very familiar with the "dual" qualities associated to Mercury, hence your retrograde comment? I'm not really familiar with the Grateful Dead, but from what I've just read their song Terrapin Station plays on the "dichotomy of light and darkness [that] are never far away in Hunter's lyrics and here we have spaces filling with darkness, things that were obvious being hidden, leaving us nothing to believe in, except the direction in which we are headed, whatever that may be." (Source). Is that your takeaway too? Yep, the Jungian shadow sense was my first take too, although on reflection I was less certain. Advocating darkness as strongly as he did is suggestive of someone more conscious of, and wedded to, their own dark Self than the usual left-hand path dabbler. It's too early (for me anyway) to reach a proper sense of what he might actually be --- in the occult sense. Assuming his comments were crafted from a genuine occult perspective and not simply a PR one? Time will tell, I expect. Perhaps you should re-read the title of this folder, Cliff. We're generally discuss matters here that are a great deal "deep-er" than politics --- and I think you're already out of your depth as it is. You probably haven't read Alexander Pope's An Essay on Criticism? He's one of my favourite poets. Such passion and rhythm and rhyme.

'Tis hard to say, if greater Want of Skill Appear in Writing or in Judging ill, But, of the two, less dang'rous is th' Offence, To tire our Patience, than mis-lead our Sense: Some few in that, but Numbers err in this, Ten Censure wrong for one who Writes amiss; A Fool might once himself alone expose, Now One in Verse makes many more in Prose.

- - - - - Such shameless Bards we have; and yet 'tis true, There are as mad, abandon'd Criticks too. The Bookful Blockhead, ignorantly read, With Loads of Learned Lumber in his Head, With his own Tongue still edifies his Ears, And always List'ning to Himself appears. All Books he reads, and all he reads assails, From Dryden's Fables down to Durfey's Tales. With him, most Authors steal their Works, or buy; Garth did not write his own Dispensary. Name a new Play, and he's the Poet's Friend, Nay show'd his Faults--but when wou'd Poets mend? No Place so Sacred from such Fops is barr'd, Nor is Paul's Church more safe than Paul's Church-yard: Nay, fly to Altars; there they'll talk you dead; For Fools rush in where Angels fear to tread. Distrustful Sense with modest Caution speaks; It still looks home, and short Excursions makes; But ratling Nonsense in full Vollies breaks; And never shock'd, and never turn'd aside, Bursts out, resistless, with a thundering Tyde! |
